Nuclear City reference found on Cartel Map in Black Ops Cold War
Black Ops Cold War players have discovered an Easter egg that could hint at Nuketown from BO1 on the Cartel map, which is one of the brand new maps available to fans during the game's open beta.
Everyone knows that Nuclear City The most played map in Black Ops history. She has been a part of every iteration in the series, even appearing multiple times in one of the installments if you count the BO2 version of Zombies as a title in its own right. There are rumors that the map will appear in Black Ops Cold War, which, to put it mildly, is not surprising.
Due to her popularity, it makes sense that the developers would want to start teasing her before she was added to the game, but most people probably didn't expect her to appear on one of the beta maps.
If players enter the back of the Cartel map, which was one of the maps that players couldn't experience in Alpha, they will find an image of one of the houses on the classic BO1 map. Does this mean that the classic version of the map will appear in Black Ops Cold War?
Of course, no one knows at this point, but some people seem to think so, like YouTuber TheGamingRevolution. And that would make sense too: Since BOCW is a direct sequel to Black Ops 1, a map pulled straight from that game would fit the time period.
That being said, given that every version of the map has been tweaked throughout its history, it would be surprising if the developers didn't do the same this time around.
Regardless of what this picture means, it's nice to see that the developers haven't forgotten about the classic map even 10 years after its original launch.
