Mongraal and BenjyFishy Explain Why It's Not Hard to Become a Fortnite Pro Player
FaZe team member Kyle 'Mongraal' Jackson and NRG star Benji 'BenjyFishy' Fish shared why becoming a professional Fortnite player is not that difficult compared to other competitive titles.
Fortnite is one of the biggest games in the world, so it's no surprise that players around the world dream of becoming a pro on their beloved Battle Royale. Those who compete at the highest level can earn millions, like Kyle Buga Giersdorf, who won $3 million at the World Championship.
For many, the path to a pro game seems impossible, but some of the leaders of the competitive Fortnite scene who have reached the pinnacle of excellence, Mongraal, BenjyFishy and Martin 'MrSavage' Anderson, believe that becoming a pro is easy!
During the January 6 broadcast, Mongraal and his co-stars began discussing Fortnite as an esport, and in particular how it's relatively easy to become a pro compared to a title like CS:GO.
"You don't have to play scrims to be successful," he said. “Fortnite is so weird, it’s just inexplicable. In CS:GO, you have to fight 16 hours a day with your God Squad, and you need mind coaches."
“This is the most unprofessional esports ever,” Savage said in response. "You can have the worst sleep schedule, feel bad, and don't even need to practice much if you're just honing your mechanics."
BenjyFishy agreed, stating, "I swear it's so easy to go from a casual player to a pro. At least you can significantly improve your game. And I'm not even trolling."
While many probably think it's impossible to become a pro player, three of the most recognizable names in Fortnite believe it's as easy as practicing their mechanics and feel that going from casual to pro isn't particularly difficult in Fortnite.
All three competed at the top of Fortnite for a while, with Mongraal finishing in 13th place at World Cup Fortnite, BenjyFishy on 25th and MrSavage on 29th as they competed in the solo portion of a massive esports tournament.
