Elden Ring Dark Moon mod
Elden Ring Dark Moon is a gameplay mod that adds 11 new classes, new vendors, weapons, armor and more.
Elden Ring Dark Moon is an interesting new gameplay overhaul mod that adds new classes, vendors, weapons, armor, and various cosmetic changes.
Created by modder Dylan Alexander, this overhauled gameplay is based on fashion Elden Ring: Shattered, redesigned gameplay from Water_bear. The latter already included a massive combat and gameplay overhaul, and the Dark Moon overhaul goes even further, making changes to the Shattered mod and adding a lot of new content.
Eleven new classes have been added to the game since the Dark Moon overhaul, including Scoundrel, Grand Knight, Thief, Hunter, Karian Scholar, Alabaster Lad, Pyromancer, Blood Student, Warlock, Jars Friend, and Perfumer. "Unlike the more flexible base game classes, Dark Moon's classes are more finely tuned for either stats or fantasy," writes the modder. "For example, the Grand Knight is a classic strength master wielding a large sword and a large shield, while the Warlock is an INT/FTH hybrid build using the new Dual Catalyst weapon type."
At least four more new classes are expected to be added in the future.
Below we've included the changes that were made to the Shattered Overhaul mod:
- Many movesets have been updated to include running attacks in combo chains, making combat faster.
- rifts were replaced by brisk pace in the style of Bloodborne.
- When choosing a difficulty level (of which there are now 5), rally system from Bloodborne, allowing you to restore health for a short time, avenging the damage received.
- A lot has been added new weapons, including several from Bloodborne.
- Equipment and armor stats were removedto focus more on fashion.
- Other changes to Smithing Stones, Crystal Rifts/Small Erd Trees, scaling, etc. Please see the full Shattered Patch Notes for more on this.
