It's been two years since we first heard rumors about the game Marvel's Avengers, and it looks like the wait is almost over to reunite with the beloved heroes of the Marvel Universe.
Avengers is slowly becoming one of the most anticipated games of 2020, with a brand new gameplay trailer featuring footage from co-op missions.

Marvel's Avengers won't release for another six months, but Crystal Dynamics gradually released details on the game's features, including customizable abilities, unlockable gears, and progression systems.
However, the new trailer has given us a better understanding of the combat mechanics and how co-op missions work.
Ms. Marvel, who was only revealed as a playable character earlier this month at New York Comic-Con, is trying to reunite the Avengers five years after they were blamed for the destruction of San Francisco.
Once you've completed the opening battle on A-Day, you can jump straight into the game's multiplayer modes or stick with the campaign to follow the narrative.
MARVEL'S AVENGERS RELEASE DATE
At E3 2019, Marvel's Avengers was revealed to be hitting PC, Stadia, Xbox One, and PS4 starting May 15, 2020.
PS4 owners will also receive exclusive content soon, including early beta access to the game.
ORIGINAL STORYLINE
At the Square Enix conference, gamers finally got their first good look at a series of cinematic trailers and gameplay snippets.
It looks like the main heroes you can play with are Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, and Hulk. Each hero has their own unique fighting style that caters to their different powers and abilities.
The voice cast was revealed during E3, with some very familiar faces bringing life to our favorite heroes, including Troy Baker as Bruce Banner (Hulk), Jeff Shine as Captain America, Travis Willingham as Thor, Laura Bailey as Black Widow and Nolan North as Tony Stark.
A UNIVERSE TO STUDY FOR LONG YEARS AHEAD
The most exciting announcement from the announced trailer in January 2017 was that this project is the start of a “multi-year, multi-stakeholder partnership” and will create a universe that “gamers can play for years to come.”
Marvel's Avengers is set to receive free post-launch content to keep building the universe and roster of heroes that is the longevity that the first trailer hinted at.
After a leak on the E3 Coliseum page (just a week before Square Enix E3 was released), we finally got some idea of the game plan.
Although this leak was quickly silenced, the guys from the magazine PC Gamer got our hands on the original description:
“Join your powers and join key members of the development team at Crystal Dynamics and creative at Marvel Games as they speak exclusively about the upcoming Marvel Avengers.
This is the defining gaming experience of Avengers: an epic action-adventure that combines cinematic storytelling with non-stop single-player and co-op gameplay.
Moderator Andrea René: “Get into teams of up to four players, master extraordinary abilities, customize your heroes to suit your play style, and join forces to defend an ever-expanding world under constant threat.”
This leak has given us a lot of information to work with, given that we haven't had any gameplay news so far.
Some key takeaways include cinematic storytelling, four-player teams, continuous single-player, co-op gameplay, and customizable heroes.
