What is the Genshin Impact Moon Kingdom event?

The Moon Kingdom Event is a new challenge that will take players into an upcoming fishing-related mini-game. The number of points you earn will depend on the rarity of the fish you catch, allowing you to get the best rewards in this seasonal event.

The release date is September 10th and will run until the end of Update 2.1. In order to play this event, you need to have access to the Li Yue region and unlock all seven statues in the areas associated with the event. Complete the Archon quest "Escape from Rito Island", open the Kettle of Serenity, and complete the "Explosive Population" of Nantaka from the Mondstadt Anglers' Association.

Walkthrough Lunar Kingdom

In order to help Kujirai Momiji find the Moon Leviathan, the Travelers will have to complete various event quests, including completing a series of special fishing training sessions. The stages of the event open one by one during the first seven days.

During Special Fishing Practices, Adventurers will need to catch a certain amount of fish in a given amount of time. The better the results of special training, the richer the reward.

Special training locations can be found by following the directions on the map. Travelers can choose the right bait and rod, focusing on the place and purpose of fishing.

The fish caught during training can be viewed in the inventory. In order to preserve the fish population in Teyvat, you can catch no more than 50 fish of each species in each of the training ponds during the day. All other fish will be released.

After discovering the truth about the Moon Leviathan, Adventurers will be able to travel to the specified pool and use the special Glitter Bait to catch the Mysterious Ornamental Fish.

The Mysterious Ornamental Fish only appears during the event. If you run out of glitter bait, contact Kujirai Momiji, she will give you a new one.

Glitter Bait can only be used in a pond with Mysterious Ornamental Fish. It can catch fish of all kinds living in the reservoir (dawn catchers, crystal fish, etc...)

During the event, you can put a maximum of 5 Mysterious Ornamental Fish in your inventory.
