"Red Ghost" - Trailer Released for New Film about Soviet Partisans
A trailer for the Red Ghost military action movie has been released, which tells about the battles of Soviet partisans against the Nazi invaders near Vyazma in 1941.
The director of the film Andrey Bogatyryov called the film "non-standard" because it is "at the same time cruel, and with humor and irony."
The story of the Red Ghost is an attempt to comprehend the feat of our soldiers, to find the real roots of the legend of the invincible and elusive Soviet warrior who comes from nowhere and goes nowhere. But behind each soldier there was a human story. It was very important for us to make the film not pretentious, to preserve what the veterans gave us, and they, in turn, told stories with humor and irony. You can see some of their stories in the film.
The main roles were played by Yuri Borisov, Alexei Shevchenkov, Vladimir Gostyukhin, Wolfgang Czerny and others. The film was shown for the first time at the International Moscow Film Festival in the fall of 2020. The premiere of "Red Ghost" is scheduled for June 10.
