When will Helicopters be added to Fortnite in Season 2?
The new January trailer for Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2 showed off new content that is still being debated. We now have more clues about the new vehicle that players will be able to see in the near future.
The trailer for Season 2020 premiered in January XNUMX, and witty gamers soon spotted the helicopter landing on the roof of the mansion.
Helicopters are nothing new to Fortnite - one of them has been spotted on the map from seasons 4 to 8 in 2019 , but this never resulted in a version that was actually used by the players.
The helicopter landing on top of the mansion in the trailer isn't the only clue that cars will be coming to the game: players have also noticed that every new area on the map has a helipad.
They are marked with all the hallmarks of any conventional helipad - a wide surface with a large H in the middle of the circle.
While you don't necessarily need a helipad to land a helicopter on, if Epic plans to add a vehicle, it would make sense to have them as a spawn location.
Some of the most compelling things we've seen to suggest that flying cars are coming to Fortnite come from a well-known data developer HYPEX , which leaked some helicopter-themed emotes and information about the new vehicle from the game files.
HYPEX warned that these statistics may just be placeholders, but they are one of the best signs that transport is definitely coming. The helicopter will have 1500 HP, will be able to take off and can damage players if it hits them.
Some infos about the upcoming helicopter vehicle, (might be placeholders) [@spedicey1]:

- HP: 1500
- Can boost
- Can damage players if it hits them
The emote in question is called “Get To The Choppa,” which is a nod to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s legendary 1987 sci-fi action movie Predator, and it definitely looks like a good sign for the copters coming to the game soon.
Upcoming Emotes that let you shout to someone!

Helicopters wouldn't be the first flying vehicle to be in Fortnite; players used to take to the skies in X-4 Burevestnik aircraft before they were retired at the end of Season 7.
However, due to their all-consuming nature, aircraft were not well received by players and remain to this day as one of the more controversial additions to battle royale.
Fans will be hoping that if helicopters do show up, Epic Games will make sure they can't cause too much damage, or we'll have another aerial disaster at our fingertips.
At the moment there is no expected release date for Helicopters in Fortnite, but Season 2 has almost a quarter of the work done and it could be coming sooner than we think. As always, we will continue to update you on this as more information becomes available.
