When will editing (building) return to Fortnite? Classic feature removed in Chapter 3 Season 2
Epic Games have taken the unprecedented step of removing the ability to build from Fortnite. However, this is not a permanent change and you will be able to create boxes again soon.
Over the years, as Fortnite has led the battle royale market, it has gone through some pretty drastic changes. New items and mechanics were introduced that turned the powerful Epic Games game on its head.
However, the only constant was the unique building mechanics. This is not something you see with Fortnite Battle Royale competitors, as players can build small or massive structures to give themselves an edge.
Some players have previously wondered what would happen if Epic removed the building mechanic from the game. Well, with the release of Chapter 3, Season 2, they had a chance to check it out, as the builds were removed, at least for a short period.
The current season of Fortnite has many clues and mysteries hidden throughout the island, but the building has disappeared.
Will building return to Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 3?
That's right, if you're not on top of your Fortnite lore, the man-made structures that you and your enemies used to gain an advantage are no longer there - at least for now.
Mechanics remains in Competitive, Arena, Creative, and Team Rumble playlists, but it has completely left the regular mode, being replaced by Overshield.
According to the leaks, deleting builds shouldn't be permanent and they should be back in the near future. It means that March 29 you have to build boxes and pyramids again during the PvP game.
While these leaks have been spotted earlier with their information, Epic Games has yet to confirm when the mechanic will return.
In the notes for the Season 2 update, the developers are silent, simply playing with the fact that the building has disappeared for the first time in history.
The new season also has a lot of new mechanics to get to grips with, including mantle and shoulder slams, so be sure to master those before building returns.
