A screen showing your surroundings allows you to travel to any location you choose, on foot, running (powered) or vehicle (requires chopper ). You can go to the Global Map by leaving the edge of any place where you are now.
On the Global Map screen, your hunger and thirst bars do not deplete, and you can safely use items and craft items. Also, when you exit the location to the Global Map screen, all hostile NPC survivors will disappear in addition to any hostile zombies that spawned as events (poison spitting and poisonous abominations that spawned after arriving, not the zombies that are standing around when you go there). get there).
