Was Fortnite Season 3 Map Leaked Online?
Fortnite Battle Royale players have a lot of expectations for the upcoming Aggregate event, with many believing the map will be submerged as sea levels rise, and a new "leaked" image has surfaced showing just that.
Some players, however, are not sure if this is real.
Previous leaks have suggested the map could be completely flooded for the next major patch, and even a leak of a first look at the Season 3 intro on the PlayStation Store seems to indicate drastic changes to the island. So the last apparent leak certainly doesn't look convincing, to say the least.
Members of the Fortnite community have been waiting for this new season longer than ever in Chapter 1, as Chapter 2 updates have been infrequent and intermittent - delay after delay announced by Epic Games.
Now, however, as rumors of a map flood are spreading like wildfire, a new image has surfaced claiming that the damage caused by the ocean is massive!
The image itself was shared directly via the Fortnite subreddit and is also posted on the channel ghost ninja on YouTube. Some players have their doubts and you can understand why.
Here's what gamers are saying: "Guys, this is NOT an s3 card. Although it is posted on Twitter, but no, it is not. The water level is all screwed up. 100% Fake image." Another user also said, “I mean, it looks like someone painted blue all over the map, lol.”
On the one hand, it shows the mountain peaks, which are obviously the highest parts of the map that players can access in the game. Then, oddly enough, on the right side of the image we can see Careless Beach, which will certainly be one of the first POIs to be destroyed by rising sea levels, since it is a beach location. Only on this basis can the image be refuted.
So @xkleinmikex & I stole the Doomsday Device and decided to do the event now.. /s pic.twitter.com/LeUm9uGFNI

Of course, this isn't the first time someone has been trying to imagine what the island might look like after the Aggregate event, as Fortnite insider HYPEX also created the concept (see above).
At the very least, it shows a more realistic depiction of how things could be, but that hasn't been confirmed either. As soon as we receive an official communication from Epic, which will likely be after the June 17 Season XNUMX start date, we will be the first to let you know.
