How to Get a Level 2 Bow in Grounded (Insect Bow)
If you want to kill bugs from a distance, then you need to upgrade your bow, and here's how!
While the upgrade sounds nice in theory, you'll need to kill some spiders to get the parts needed to build this thing. So, make sure you have at least an upgraded melee weapon so you can take out the bugs needed to craft this enhanced bow.
To get the Level 2 Insect Bow, you will need to kill a few spiders to get Spider Pieces, Spider Fangs, and Spider Silk. Once you have collected these ingredients for a recipe, you can return to your workbench and craft it.
The easy part of this is getting Spider Silk. It looks like wolf spiders don't drop silk, so you have to go somewhere to get it. Luckily, it's pretty easy to farm because you can mine it from the web. The most reliable place I've found for a web is the southwest under the huge rake, which is a big attraction on the map. If you look under the large boulder that props up the rake, you will see the following cave with lots of woven substance to harvest:
You can also find places where you can pick up Spider Silk near a large oak tree or anywhere you find spiders. However, you can only harvest spider flatcloths, you cannot harvest silk from fabrics that Orbweavers make. They look triangular, and when you walk up to it, it won't highlight on your screen as "Web", as it does when interacting with a regular web.
Now that you have the silk, it's time to kill some spiders. We don't just have to kill the spiders, we have to specifically trap the wolf spiders. Weavers with balls do not drop spider fangs, which are necessary for the bow. There are several ways to kill spiders easily, so here is a video about one of them:
Depending on your luck, you may only need to kill one of them, but two should be the maximum you need to kill to get fangs and chunks. After getting the ingredients, return to the base and examine the fangs and chunks to find out the recipe. Then all you have to do is craft and you have a tier XNUMX bow!
