How to participate in the Shadow Battle system in Diablo Immortal

If you destroyed in Diablo Immortal Sandstone Golem or A stitched hydra in the Zoltun Kulle Library and looking for a new challenge, look no further than Shadow Battle, a PvP oriented event that becomes available during the endgame.

Looking for complete information about the game's most mysterious tournament? Here is our complete guide to Shadow War in Diablo Immortal , which details what the Shadow War is and how you can take part in the battle.

How to take part in the Shadow Battle in Diablo Immortal

To do this, you can register every week on Monday and Tuesday. The preliminary fight takes place every Thursday and the final fight takes place on Saturday.

Shadow battles among themselves are similar to the Trials of the Immortal. Instead of two opposing factions fighting each other, the Dark Shadow Clans fight among themselves in a Shadow Battle to determine who is worthy of attempting to overthrow the current Immortals. Thus, the Top 10 Dark Clans for the Rite of the Exiles are determined.

That is, if earlier you joined a faction and created Dark Houses inside it, now it is tied to the Clans, which until that moment were a useless gathering of people.

In the Battle of Shadows, 2 Dark Clans fight in each battle. The top 30 players selected in the Dark Clan fight against the leader of the opposing Dark Clan, similar to the final battle with the Immortal in Rite of the Exiles. At the same time, 2 other groups, consisting of 30 members of the Dark Clan, perform other, separate tasks, which, upon completion, strengthen the main group of 30 people. In the process, several grids are formed (as in football) to determine the first places among the clans of the Shadows.

Defeating the Immortal is not an easy task - are you ready for the challenge?
Blizzard

So, in the end, the top 10 Dark Clans in the Shadow War will fight the Immortals in the Rite of the Exiles. If the Dark Clan wins, then he becomes the new Immortal along with the two allied Dark Clans.

Shadows grow in strength and receive Marks by performing various actions that are exclusive to that faction. Once enough Signs have been obtained, the Dark Clans can enter the Rite of the Exiles to challenge the Immortals.

Unlike the faction of the Immortals, everyone can get into the faction of the Shadows. Adventurers can join them through the Shadow Lottery or by direct invitation from a current Shadow member.

The Shadows continue to fight each other every week in the Shadow War PvP event, and those who consider themselves worthy go to the end to challenge the current reigning Immortals.

The winner will receive the following awards:

  • 1 legendary glyph;
  • 15 challenger's keys;
  • 5300 gold;
  • 51 scrap metal;
  • 324000 experience;
  • random items.

How to join a Faction in Diablo Immortal

In Diablo Immortal, there are only 2 ways to join the Shadows: win the shadow lottery or get an invitation from current members.

Minimum requirements - you must meet Dead Isle quest chain and reach level 43 to be able to join this faction.

The first way to become a Shadow in Diablo Immortal is to enter the Shadow Lottery for a chance to be recruited into a faction. This lottery is held every day at 12, 18 and 21 server time and lasts 60 minutes. You must visit the Mysterious Visitor at the Wolf Tavern in Westmarchto participate in the Shadow Lottery. After submitting an application from him, you need to wait to see if you will be selected after the lottery time has elapsed. Check your email for a reply. If not, then apply every time the Sweepstakes is held (see in-game notices section).

Another way to become a Shadow in Diablo Immortal is to receive an invitation from someone who is already a Shadow. Shadows can re-enter the Shadow Lottery each day to receive the Signet of Akeba, which they can use to recruit a new member, level 43 or higher. Each time you recruit a new member, you get 20 hilts and some experience for the hero. Obtaining these seals is important in order to recruit new members. The more Shadows, the better. The more participants, the more power in the Rite of the Exiles.

Shadow Lottery Diablo Immortal

If you're sick and tired of trying out the best features of Hell, why not take on Sanctuary's mightiest heroes?
Blizzard

After you have applied for the Shadow Lottery in Diablo Immortal, periodically check to see if the following letter has arrived in the mail: “Winning the Shadow Lottery! If you still wish to join the Shadows, speak to what is called the Mysterious Visitor at Westmarch's Wolf Tavern." If you win, then look further.

We go to the tavern and talk to the Mysterious Visitor. We select the item of the dialogue “Quick Shadows”, the second from the top. He will ask you to prove your strength and send Bailey to the bartender.

Here are a few points of the quest for entering the Shadows, starting from now, where you will be shown in practice all the activities of the shadows, which will be useful for beginners:

  1. Talk to the bartender Bailey and take the contract from him;
  2. Enter the Whispering Court (the entrance is in the tavern);
  3. In the Whispering Court, approach and talk to the Blood Path instructor - Newon (auto navigation works here);
  4. You need to impress her by entering the Blood Path (by clicking on it and choosing a dialogue item) and killing 3 waves of garbage monsters there. The Blood Path is the activity of the Shadows;
  5. Exit the dungeon and talk to Newon again at the entrance to it. Select the item of the dialogue “Quick Shadows”;
  6. Find Master Plunderer Figgus in the upper left corner in front of the Treasure Raid entrance. Select the item of the dialogue “Quick Shadows”;
  7. You need to impress him by entering the Treasury Heist (by clicking on it and choosing a dialogue item, see a separate chapter on the Treasury);
  8. Inside, talk to Figgus again to break the barrier. Kill all Stone Guardians (Treasury Guardians) and collect all the essence. At the end, talk to Figgus and exit through the portal;
  9. Talk to Figgus and select the dialogue item “Swift Shadows”;
  10. We go to the next hall of the Whispering Court - the Assembly Hall, and talk with the Mysterious Visitor. We speak with him again and select the dialogue item “Last Test”;
  11. Here you will need to defeat three Ancient Defenders, no big deal and open the chest at the end. The chest will contain 2 Signets of Akeba. They are needed to join the Shadows or accept other players in the Shadows;
  12. We speak with the Mysterious Visitor again, look at our Signet of Akeba in the inventory and speak with the Mysterious Visitor again by selecting the “Show Signet” dialog item;
  13. In the invitation that he offers you, select "Join". Then again we speak with the Mysterious Visitor, go to the Unquenchable Source and activate it;
  14. After activating the Source, the NPC “Unspoken” will appear, talk to him. He will offer you an Oath, where we choose "Join";
  15. As a signature, you need to draw along 3 lines on the Shadow symbol - external, internal and in a circle;
  16. Talk to the "Unspoken". Select the dialog item “Become a Shadow”. Congratulations! You are now part of the Shadow faction!
  17. Once you enter the Shadows, you are immediately granted Neophyte level 1, which grants a 1% increase in damage and defense.

Next, the game will continue the introductory quest, which also needs to be done:

  1. Again we speak with the Mysterious Visitor, then with the Agent of Twilight Vannak in the first hall (auto-navigation works). He will send you to the Shadows menu to familiarize yourself with the stages. After viewing the menu on the tooltips, we again speak with Vannak. We repeat the same;
  2. We go to the instructor of the Bloody Path Newon, select the item of the dialogue “Eyes in the Darkness”. She will also send you to the Shadows menu to familiarize yourself with their activities (Actions tab). Next, you need to go through one stage in the Bloody Path. The entrance is behind Newon;
  3. Health recovery potions are not available in the Blood Path, so be careful. After the exit, go to the Shadows menu and get a reward, follow the game prompts. Here you will be leveled up to Neophyte 2, which gives you a 2% increase in damage and defense. Take a reward of 50 hilts in the upper right corner, as well as 50 Signs by scrolling the screen a little lower;
  4. Talk to Twilight Agent Vannak and return to the Wolf Tavern;
  5. Talk to the bartender Bailey, select the dialogue item “Eyes in the Dark”. At this stage, Contracts with a limit of 3 per day become available in the Shadows menu;
  6. Talk to the bartender Bailey and select "Contracts". We take one contract. In parallel, you can take only 1 contract, passing it to take a new one, etc.;
  7. All subsequent quests in the green frame, in addition to the story ones from the faction, are quests from the Contract;
  8. Your taken contracts will also be in the main menu in the "Tasks".

How to join a clan in Diablo Immortal?

How to join a clan in Diablo Immortal if you joined the Shadow Faction? There is no tab with clans in the game menu...

If you have joined the Shadows, you can only join the Dark Clan. It is impossible to join a regular clan while in the Shadows.

To join the Dark Clan, I will already be in the Shadows, through the main game menu we go to the “Shadows” tab, then select “Details” (the last item) and “join the dark clan”.

The system will send you to the Whispering Court. Having reached there, we go to the Assembly Hall and continue moving to the NPC “Unspoken”. Select the dialog item “View Dark Clans”:

To create your own Dark Clan, you need to pass the Trial of Akeba. To join an existing Dark Clan, select the second menu item on the left. There is also a Top 10 Dark Clans that every serious Dark Clan should aspire to if they want to become the new Immortals.

Remember that by joining a serious Dark Clan, you take on a certain responsibility, which consists in daily attendance at all activities and a feasible contribution to the common cause. If you have a bad online - do not join serious Dark Clans, choose some simple one from the list, or create your own.

Re-participation in the lottery

If you are in the Shadows and have won the lottery again, then you need to go talk to the Mysterious Visitor. Here he will say that you need to prove your strength once again, that your strength has not decreased since the last time. You need to complete the Trial of Akeba again to be eligible to recruit new members. Click on "Prove Yourself" and pass the test. After defeating 3 guards, take Signet of Akeba. You will now be able to recruit players in the Shadow while earning Tokens to progress your shadow level. And so every time.

To invite other players to the Shadows, you will need 1 Signet of Akeba. As a reward, you will receive 50 Signs and 10 hilts for each player.

Dark Clans Diablo Immortal

A clan in Diablo Immortal has the option to transform into a Dark Clan and join the Shadow faction together. In the Rite of the Exiles, you compete with the other Dark Clans for the chance to overthrow the Immortals and become an Immortal Clan. Leading a successful Dark Clan is no easy task, and getting into the top XNUMX will require a team of coordinated and dedicated players, in other words, people with excellent, and, most importantly, “on-demand online”. Success lies in making time for the activities of the Shadow faction, helping others in your Dark Clan to complete their tasks. If you want to be in the top Dark Clan, you need to earn as many Signs as possible.

Each Dark Clan can have a maximum of 100 members.

The Shadows fight among themselves to find out which Dark Clans are strong enough to fight the Immortals in the Rite of the Exiles. At the same time, the Dark Clans that won the Battle of Shadows get into the top ten in the ranking:

The top 10 Dark Clans in Diablo Immortal, once again, are determined during the Shadow Battle and will participate in the Rite of the Exiles.

If the Shadows manage to overthrow the current rule, then the Dark Clan that did this will become the new Clan of the Immortals.

Creating a Dark Clan in Diablo Immortal

How to create a Dark Clan in Diablo Immortal? There are two options here:

  1. You have reached at least level 43 and become a Shadow - won the lottery and want to create your own Dark Clan in Diablo Immortal. We wrote about this case above - after you become a Shadow, after all the story quests, at the stage when you have already taken the first Contract from the bartender, you can run to the end of the Whispering Yard and talk to the NPC “Unspoken”. There, through a dialogue, you can view the Dark Clans or create your own;
  2. You, being an Adventurer, were part of a "regular" clan, and you want to make your clan Dark. If this is your case, read on below.

How to promote your clan to the category of the Dark or what to do if you are in a simple clan, but want to be in the Dark:

  • You can simply join a clan starting at character level 30 (see the table of levels);
  • To transfer your clan to the Dark Clan, you need the Signets of Akeba (how many, how many members in the clan) and win the Shadow Lottery;
  • Only players who have reached level 43 can be in the Dark Clan. Thus, recruiting to any Dark Clan is also a level 43 minimum;
  • An individual player, being a member of a “simple clan”, can win the Shadow Lottery, but the game will still reset his result, since it is impossible to be in the Shadows, while being in an ordinary, non-Dark Clan;
  • To join the Dark Clan, an outsider must already be in the Shadow Faction. The Adventurer will not be able to join the Dark Clan without being a Shadow;
  • If you are in a “regular” clan, you are already level 43, have completed the story on the Dead Island, and want to join the Dark Clan, and the head does not want or cannot transfer his clan to the dark one, then leave the clan and participate in the Shadow Lottery ( see the relevant section above). Further, being in the Shadows, we are looking for a Dark Clan.

When you collect the required number of Signets of Akeba - and this is exactly the number of people in your clan, your clan can be turned into a Dark Clan. However, for this you need to win the Shadow Lottery:

Dark clan
Blizzard

As the members of the Clan accumulate the Signets of Akeba, you, as the Head, upon reaching the required amount, can transfer your Clan to the category of Dark Clans.

Further, you can form a Dark Clan, but only during the passage of the "Meeting" stage. Speak to the NPC named "Unspoken" in the Whispering Court, spend 250 platinum, then choose a name and symbol to represent you and your fellow Shadows. Although you only have 20 members to start with, you'll definitely want to quickly fill your Dark Clan with like-minded people, because Dark Clans' ranking is entirely based on the combined rank of all its members.

But what if you are in the Shadows and want to create your own Dark Clan?

To do this, you need to reach the level “Apprentice I” or higher, and go to the NPC “Unspoken”, which is in the Whispering Court in the farthest hall. There you will need to complete the Trial of Akeba, which will allow you to create your own Dark Clan. The challenge itself is free, but when you pass it, you will have to pay platinum to create a Dark Clan in Diablo Immortal. Further, being the Head, you can invite Shadows into it.

Clan Benefits

The Dark Clan has clan advantages. These are unlocked as the Dark Clan ranks up, for a total of 8 clan perks with a maximum rank of 16. Consider prioritizing perks that result in more Token accumulation. This helps the Dark Clan reach higher ranks faster, resulting in more benefits unlocked. A dark clan with a high rank is much more powerful than a clan with a low rank.

Each time a new Clan Advantage is unlocked, the leader of the Dark Clan can choose 1 of 3 options. Many of these options are yet to be seen, but it is important to read the options available and make the best decision for the Dark Clan.

In the example below, the Freedom Advantage could be a great option to get it at a high level as one of your last Advantages:

However, early use of advantages such as "Conspiracy Masters" or "Dark Conspiracy" helps the Dark Clan accumulate Signs faster.

The example above says:

  • Advantage “Freedom”: the duration of the effects of loss of control is increased by 10% for Immortals and reduced by 10% for members of their clan;
  • “Conspiracy Masters”: clan members can complete +1 additional contract every Monday;
  • “Dark Conspiracy”: Treasure Heist and Contracts events give clan members +5% more rewards.

Clan Focus Diablo Immortal

The clan focus is a weekly goal that the leader sets for the members. Completing the weekly focus gives your Dark Clan more Marks, increasing their place on the leaderboard.

Dark Clan Focus
Blizzard

Choosing a clan focus that your Dark Clan can perform is very important, so choose it wisely based on how far the Shadows are in the stages and how strong your members are. A clan focus, such as completing 160 contracts, would require many active members to complete it in a week, while stealing 40 chests from the Treasury could easily make just a few Shadows. Clan Focus requirements increase as the Dark Clan reaches higher ranks.
