How to Make a Movement Momentum Cone in Fortnite

fortnite-img

Fortnite players have always loved finding new game pieces, and the discovery of a new "Cone of Acceleration" may help some players take their game even higher.

Ramp setting has become a common tactic in the Battle Royale game, with players using it to gain a small speed boost while traversing the Map in order to get around obstacles faster - especially useful since the removal of most vehicles at the start of Season X.

This is achieved by the player building the ramp at the right time and then jumping while running, which means their character model is essentially moving forward with the ramp.

Now a Reddit user has found a way to get boost boost - essentially the same trick, but using a cone assembly rather than a ramp. You can see the benefits of this; you get the same momentum as a ramp, but you can use the walls of the cone to protect yourself.

This can be incredibly useful in endgame situations when you're advancing into a new zone, and the user who finds this feature provides a very handy step-by-step guide on how to perform a Cone of Haste.

As he explains, you have to edit one corner of the cone while standing on the edge of the opposite corner. This means that the cone will be edited so that your character's head is above the cone.

Obviously this is more difficult than ramp up requiring a better understanding of your exact position and timing, but once you get it down it can be incredibly useful for spinning and speeding while also being protected while doing so.

With the end of season X coming and season 11 getting closer every day, do you want to try and get that into your asset before the new season starts?

We don't know much yet about how Season 11 will play out, and this type of movement could become imperative going forward.
