How to breed frogs in Minecraft - Bedrock and Java 1.19!

We will guide you through the frog breeding process in Minecraft with easy to follow steps. For details, follow our guide.

Update minecraft wild has finally been published and players get to dig into all the new content that is now available to them. While some things are easy to learn, there are innovations that can be more difficult to understand. If you are wondering how you can breed frogs in Minecraft, we will walk you through the steps in this guide.

Breeding frogs in Minecraft

In order to breed frogs in Minecraft, you will need to get slugs. Once you have them, find two frogs that are close to each other and feed each of them a slug. This will cause the frogs to enter love mode and eventually cause them to mate, which causes one of them to start depositing tadpoles in a nearby water tile.

Frogs can be found everywhere, but where they are found will determine their coloration.

  • In temperate biomes, you will find orange frogs. These biomes include river, beach taiga, swamp, and more.
  • In cold climate biomes, you will find green frogs. These biomes include a frozen river, a snowy beach, a grove, a snowy taiga, and more.
  • Finally, in warm climate biomes, you will find white frogs. These biomes include places like barren jungle, desert, savannah, and more.

Once you find the frog color of your choice, you'll want to grab the leash and attach it to the frog. This will allow you to drag the mob with you to another frog that you can use to breed. You can return the frog back to your base or fenced area for storage.

Once you have two frogs next to each other, you will now need to feed them slugs. This is a resource dropped by Slime that can be found at night in swamp biomes. If you're lucky enough to have pandas nearby, they also occasionally sneeze with them.

Once you feed the two frogs the slugs, they will run into each other and one of them will show hearts above the amphibians' heads. This frog will look for the water tile and then lay the frog offspring.

Frogs eventually turn into tadpoles, which then turn into frogs! The color of your frogs is determined by which biome they grew up in from tadpoles to frogs, so be sure to bring them to the right place to get the color you want.

That's all we know about breeding frogs in the game. You can find out much more by going to Minecraft section on our website.
