A brand new alternate skin for Lara Croft has arrived in Season 6 of Fortnite. It's called the Lara Croft (Golden Anniversary) style, and here's all the information you need to unlock it.
When Fortnite Season 2021 premiered in March 6, players were thrilled that gaming icon Lara Croft was part of the battle pass , as well as several alternative styles such as contemporary wear and classic 1990s wear.
But one leaked style, the golden Lara Croft aka Lara Croft (Golden Anniversary), has been unavailable since the start of the season, and players are slowly starting to wonder if it will ever be released.
Luckily, the wait has come to an end as the skin style has been added as part of mid-season update v16.40 . You'll need to complete a series of steps to get it, so we're here to break it down for you.
How to get the Golden Lara Croft skin style in Fortnite
To get the new Golden Lara Croft style, players will need to head to the new island landmark that has spawned on the map south of the factory. It is called the Isle of Nublad and it has many ruins.
When you land, you will notice the new NPC Aurelia, who was added in the v16.40 update. She will stand next to the table with the Golden Scar on it - this is what you are looking for.
Here's how to get the Golden Lara Croft in Fortnite
- Before you start, make sure you're wearing the Lara Croft skin.
- Head to the island indicated on the map below as soon as you get off the battle bus.
- Find NPC Aurelia
- There will be a golden SCAR assault rifle on the table next to her.
- Pick it up and you will turn into Golden Lara Croft.
- Gold style is now yours!
Be aware that when you pick up the golden SCAR assault rifle, NPC Aurelia will start attacking you as it is "her" weapon that you just stole. Either run fast or stay and join the fight.
Some players have also reported that they had to wear one of Lara Croft's "classic" styles instead of the modern one to unlock the gold style, so it might be worth wearing one just in case.
Location of the new island in Fortnite
The location of Isla Nublada, the island where you'll find the NPC Aurelia and the SCAR golden weapon, is marked on the map above to make it easier to find.
It's probably worth noting that just about every player who owns the Battle Pass is going to head to this new island in an attempt to get the golden Lara Croft skin, so you'll have a lot of competition.
