Earning bitcoins
As mentioned above, all free items inside Beatland can be purchased with Beatcoins. To earn these coins, players can either find them on the map or complete tasks. If you decide to research coins rather than participate in quests, keep an eye on the coins pictured below.
While you add two Beatcoins to your bank for every tangible Beatcoin you collect on the card, you will still need to collect around 1 individual Beatcoins to unlock all five purchasable free items. Because of this can be easier to complete tasks instead (additional emphasis on "may").
To get started, find any glowing circle on the ground and approach it.
Each color of the circle represents a specific job. Orange circle, pictured above, allocates players to work as a city janitor. To get started, go to the circle of your choice and select Unlock Quest or Take a quest, depending on whether you've done it before. You will also be able to see how many Beatcoins you will earn for completing the task, and if you need to pay any Beatcoins to work with it.
Once you have unlocked and completed the task, follow the pink arrows that appear on the screen - they will lead you to the location of your work.
If everything is working and you are not encountering any errors, the pink arrows should direct you to the area with blue circle and prompts for action.
As this experience is exceptionally buggy at the time of this article's publication, however, it's likely that you'll be taken to a seemingly random location with no purpose and therefore nothing to do.
If this happens, you will unfortunately have to quit your current job by pressing the small X next to your work icon and return to the starting point to try again. This crash happened to us many times on several different missions. In fact, only two of our six attempts to complete the work were successful. During the other four attempts, the blue circle either never appeared, or it did appear but didn't offer an action hint, or it did appear and offer an action hint that loops us into an endless animation.
Depending on which one you choose, you will earn between 10 and 30 Beatcoins for every job you successfully complete. This means that assuming you don't collect a single Beatcoin from the entire map, you will need to complete somewhere between 50 and 100 challenges to earn enough Beatcoins to unlock all five purchasable free items.
letter collecting
Unlike the other five free items that can be purchased with Beatcoins, the sixth item, Boris Brejcha Vinyl Record Shield, can only be unlocked by those who find all eight letters that make up the word BEATLAND, once a day for five days. At the time of this article's publication, it is not known if these letters appear in new locations every day or if they remain in the same areas. But for now, all eight lettered locations can be found below, and a description of each location is below the attached screenshot.
- Located on the balcony of the cinema
- Located in the central park area
- Located on the roof of the Electronic Beats Club
- Located on the side of the map next to a closed road
- Located in the bathroom of the Electronic Beats Club
- Found in the Security Room of the Electronic Rhythm Store
- Located in the alley near the cinema
- Located in the T-Mobile store
Once you find the last letter, your letter tracker on the left side of the screen will turn into a recharge timer that is set to 15 hours. After this timer reaches zero, you will be able to find the next set of eight letters.
Completion of the Obbi Tower
To find the Obbi Tower, return to Beatland and look for the sign below, following the direction this sign is pointing you will arrive at the entrance to the Obbi.
Once inside the obby, you will need to complete several stages that vary in difficulty in order to reach the top and assemble the Telekom 5G Jetpack. Examples of these steps can be found below.
Once you reach the area below, give yourself a pat on the back - you are at the finish line!
Climb the ladder in front of you, climb the rainbow ladder and approach the jetpack to get a free UGC item!
Unraveling the Wi-Fi Mystery
Before we can solve the Wi-Fi mystery, we must enter the DJ Mansion. To do this, return to Beatland and find the portal pictured below - entering this portal will lead you to the entrance to the mansion.
Once inside the mansion, your job is to place eight WiFi routers in different rooms throughout the house. The locations where these routers should be placed can be found below.
- In the main corridor near the front door
- Inside the bathroom on the first floor
- In the living room above the sofas
- In the lounge on the ground floor to the right of the DJ
- On the scaffolding inside the recording studio on the second floor
- On top of filing cabinets inside the office on the second floor
- On an orange chest of drawers in the living room on the second floor
- On the chest of drawers in the bedroom on the second floor
Once you have placed the final WiFi router, return to the living room on the ground floor and approach the center piece pictured below. As soon as you approach this centerpiece, you will automatically receive an item and a pogo stick icon!
To use this item inside Beatland, click on the button The Pogolocated in the lower right corner of the screen. After that, your avatar will equip the item and start bouncing!
the end
As mentioned above, this experience seems to be exceptionally buggy for everyone, so keep in mind that you are not alone in your buggy struggle. If you don't feel like these items are worth the time and effort it takes to get them, that's fine!
