The time has come for the last son of Krypton. Superman is finally flying into Fortnite, so here's how to unlock DC's most iconic superhero.

Over the past few months, Fortnite fans have been patiently waiting for the arrival of Superman. It was originally supposed to drop at the start of Season 17: players were disappointed to learn that the Man of Steel was blocked by an in-game timer.

Since then, Fortnite has seen its fair share of DC heroes and villains fighting across the island. Recently, characters from James Gunn's Suicide Squad have entered the fray.

However, nothing can compare to SUPERMAN.

How to unlock Superman in Fortnite

Arriving earlier than expected Superman will be available from Tuesday, August 10. It's unclear if Superman can be purchased from the in-game store, but we do know that players will need to complete NPC quests in order to collect their cosmetic sets.

Among these NPCs will be some interesting DC alumni, such as the intimidating armored Batman located in the Mean Docks. The Teen Titan Beast can also be found in the Weeping Grove. Finally, none other than Kent Clark himself will be in the Orchard. By completing the various quests these NPCs have to offer, you'll be on your way to wearing the symbol of the House of El on your chest.

Fans will need to complete a total of 10 challenges, which will unlock access to the early stages of Superman's cosmetics. After that, players will need to be patient as more epic quests are added to the game. To begin your journey to Superman glory, you first need to learn how to unlock Clark Kent. This can be done with the following quests:

Superman missions:
- Defeat the aliens (You can kill the parasite. Violators who stand in the monastery or fly UFOs in pink locations will also be counted).
- Visit multiple neighborhoods with different names (Visit multiple named locations)
- Climb aboard the flagship or visit the alien biome (insee performance here).

- Take damage from the player and stay alive (just don't die from taking damage from the enemy).
- Defeat the aliens (You can kill the parasite. Violators who stand in the monastery or fly UFOs in pink locations will also be counted).
- Accelerate to 99 km / h in a vehicle (you need a sports car. Take a car and drive on straight asphalt).
Batman Quests:
- Use the launcher (the launcher is my favorite gadget. You can find it as an item, or you can use the launchers found in the OP bases).
- Defeat the aliens (You can kill the parasite. Violators who stand in the monastery or fly UFOs in pink locations will also be counted).
- Take a flight on a saucer (Find a saucer and fly).

The first reward is the Call to Action emoji.

After three NPC quests, the "Crest of Superman" graffiti will be available.

With five quests in your bag, Clark Kent will become available.

The next set of quests will be from Kal-El's humble alter ego, Clark Kent. Players will need to equip the Clark Kent Skin in order to complete the following:

Fly through the rings as Clark Kent (5): Daily Planet Backpack
Use the phone booth with Clark Kent (1): Secret Identity Emote, Superman Cape Backpack, Clark Kent (Superman) Style.
Complete epic quests (63): Kal-El's cloak
Complete Epic Quests (68): Flag Emblem
Complete epic quests (73): Last Son of Krypton screen
Complete Epic Quests (78): Loneliness Crusher Pickaxe

Who is Clark Kent Shadow?

For the most part, Epic Games has used the New 52 comic canon as inspiration for their DC skins. With the exception of a few movie tie-ins, this tradition seems to be making a comeback with the inclusion of Superman in Fortnite. Recently making its first cinematic debut in Zack Snyder's Justice League, players can earn an in-game Shadow Superman variant along with the classic Superman skin.

Based on the "Death of Superman" storyline, this all-black version of Superman's costume gave him stronger regenerative powers upon being brought back to life. The Shadow Superman skin won't come with any additional in-game benefits, but it will definitely look incredible to use in-game.

To get this legendary costume, you need to complete an epic quest:
