How to get Aloy in Genshin Impact for free on all platforms.
Aloy is finally available to all Genshin Impact players with the release of Update 2.2 until November 24th. Here's how you can get the cryo archer for free as part of the Horizon Zero Dawn crossover.
Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn has been in Genshin Impact since patch 2.1, but is only available to PlayStation players.
Now you can pick it up for free for everyone on all platforms, including mobile phones and PC. Aloy's five-star archer is actually a pretty solid DPS, ramping up her damage when she hits her ice rage.
Whether you want to play with Ala - or just want to get a five-star character for free - here's how you can unlock her in the update Genshin Impact 2.2.
How to unlock Aloy in Genshin Impact
To get Aloy for free, you must be registered with Genshin Impact prior to Update 2.2 and have an Adventure Rank of 20.
If you complete the two prerequisites, you will be able to unlock the archer by following these steps.
- Login to Genshin Impact
- Check your in-game mail
- Click on the message "PlayStation Exclusive Character Reward - Aloy".
- Click Claim in the lower right corner.
- You have now unlocked Aloy and you can build her however you want!
There is a timer to unlock Aloy - you only have six weeks to do so. Remember to log in before 24 November, to get her and include her in your list of characters!
And before you ask, only one copy of Aloy is available per player, so you can't get any Constellations. However, the tab exists, so there may be a way to unlock them in the future.
Aloy Research Diary Browser Event Genshin impact
To celebrate Aloy's release, miHoYo also created a research diary that documents Aloy's journey in Genshin Impact.
At the web event, Aloy wanders around Mondstadt, Dragonspine and Li Yu, learning all about Teyvat. There are also a few tidbits about Aloy's recruitment as a Cryo Bow user, including her passive which means she doesn't scare birds or boars while she's in your group.
You can earn 40 Source Stones and 3 Shivada Jade Fragments (enough to get Aloy to Ascension Stage 2) by playing the Web Event, which requires only a few clicks on each route to complete. If you share the story with your friends, you will also receive 20 mora.
If you're in dire need of savings on Hu Tao and Child's replay banners or even a future release Arataki Itto in 2.3, completing Aloy's Research Diary is an easy task.
