The entrance to the Sacrament Sewers is located on the northeastern edge of the Shallows area, not far from where you initially spawn. Look for a large glowing green entrance covered in running sewer water.
How to get to the entrance to the Communion Sewers and open it
To open the entrance to the Sacrament Sewers, you need to complete several quests in the Rats and Raiders quest chain. Before entering the sewer entrance, you need to:
- Get to Sacrament and start Of Rats and Raiders.
- Find and defeat Darak.
- Talk to Vinnik, Odessa and Rattigan.
- Free Rattigan from his cell, stealing a key from a drunk security guard.
Once Rattigan is free, he will mark the location of the entrance to the Sacrament Sewers. To get to the sewer entrance, go southwest from Sacramento through the main gate where you fought Varric. Travel through the clearings of Orbanuntil you reach the seafarers' fortress.
Instead of fighting your way through the Risen who have retaken the Seafaring Fortress, quickly turn south and climb down the vines once you cross the wooden bridge into Sailor's Keep. Float on the water, and you'll end up at the entrance to the Sacrament Sewers without having to fight your way through the Sailor's Fortress and the shallow waters.
Once you're in the sewers, you can continue the Rats and Raiders questline and connect to the Whispers of Serim fast travel point.
