Lost health points of the main character in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order cannot be automatically restored, i.e. as a result of inactivity after the end of the battle. How to restore lost health points?
A controlled character can be healed in two main ways. The first technique is to rest at meditation points, which is the equivalent of the bonfires known from the Dark Souls franchise. Rest is free and it also restores the strength bar, but all previously defeated enemies are respawned (does not apply to bosses). It's recommended to stop at a Meditation Point once you've thoroughly explored the area, though respawning enemies can be used to progress your character faster.
The second way is to ask the BD-1 droid for healing - in the console version of the game, this is done by pressing the up button on the d-pad. This option is not available from the very beginning of the game. You must rendezvous with BD-1 on the first planet - Bogano - and deliver the droid to where Cal was electrocuted (cut-scene starts).
This solution, unfortunately, has serious limitations - BD-1 can heal the hero a certain number of times. Initially it is only 2 uses. The number of allowed uses can be increased by searching for Stim containers. The stock of available procedures can be restored by resting at a meditation point. It is highly recommended to do this, especially if you plan to take on an enemy boss, for example.
An additional method of returning to full strength is to hit the enemy that previously killed the protagonist. Aside from restoring lost XP, an additional benefit of such an act is restoring health and power bars to their maximum.
How to constantly improve the vitality and heal the hero?
During the game, you may come across unique treasures that allow you to constantly improve your controllable character. The first group of such treasures are life essences. Each time you collect three of these items, the hero's health bar will constantly increase. Essences can be found in regular boxes.
The second group of unique treasures are the Stim canisters. Each find of this type increases the number of procedures that can be performed by BD-1 by 1. Canisters can be found in yellow boxes.
Another method is to buy skills for development points. At the beginning of the game, we recommend checking out the Survival Skills abilities, which will constantly increase your health bar.
