This guide will show you how to make it easier to play on 11+ GB of storage space in Horizon Zero Dawn.
How to Make Horizon Zero Dawn Easier
Like many other games, Horizon Zero Dawn will install language pack files for all supported languages.
By following these simple steps, you can free up more than 11 GB of disk space.
Step 1
Open the HZD game folder:
- ... / Steam / common / Horizon Zero Dawn
Step 2
Open the Packed_DX12 folder.
Here you will find many idx and bin files. These are language pack files.
Example (English language pack files):
- DLC1_English.idx.
- DLC1_English.bin.
- Initial_English.idx.
- Initial_English.bin.
- Remainder_English.idx.
- Remainder_English.bin.
Each language pack consists of 6 files.
Step 3
Delete any language pack files you don't need.
In the original version, you can delete 50 files and free up 11+ GB of free disk space.

Future updates may restore these files. If you verify the game's cache, the files will also be restored.
