God of War Ragnarok: Where to find all the ravens of Odin

We tell you where to find all the ravens of Odin in God of war ragnarokto access a chest with valuable contents.

Just like the original game released in 2018 year, Odin has scattered green ravens across the Nine Worlds, which follow the progress of Kratos and Atreus. They must be found and broken to get 100% completion. Ragnarok. In addition, you can get special chests of Niflheim if you find a part of the ravens. The six legendary chests you can unlock in Niflheim will offer you a unique set of armor and some runic attacks. So, even if you don't want to close the game 100%, the ravens are probably still worth destroying.

There are 48 ravens in total in the game. They are found in six of the Nine Worlds - Midgard, Svartalfheim, Alfheim, Vanaheim, Muspelheim and Helheim. In this article, they are grouped roughly according to the path along which you will pass the game.

On this page:

All crows in Midgard

There are a total of six Ravens in Midgard, mostly around the Lake of Nine, not in the Woods or around Freya's house in the south. Ravens are not that hard to find if you know their location.

1. Lake of the Nine

On the south side of the Temple of Tyr is a small ice niche that can be reached by sled. The raven perches on the east side, although it does occasionally choose to fly a little.

2. Lake of the Nine

Head to the east side of the lake, where there will be two paths - the upper one to the north and the lower one to the south, leading to giant metal doors. The raven is on the wall next to these doors and you can hit it by climbing up the higher north slope to get a corner.

3. Well Urd Raven

Head to the well on the northwestern lake and climb to the very top of the cliff. Once there, turn back to see a raven sitting on the ice across from you. A well-planned ranged attack will destroy it.

4. The Oarsmen

This Raven is found in The Oarsmen sub area to the north, but it is accessible from the Shore of Nine area. Approach the lake, jump over the initial ice barrier, and the bird will be on the rock in front of you, to the north. Point your weapon throw a little up to compensate for the distance and the ax will pin the bird nicely against the rock.

5. Abandoned outpost

The Abandoned Outpost is an optional area southwest of the Lake of Nine associated with the Valkyrie Sigrun side quest. The first of the two Ravens is outside of this area - before climbing the chain to the forge at the entrance, look back at the path leading here, where a damaged boat forms a makeshift ceiling on one side. The raven nestled inside the boat and looks at the corpse.

6. Abandoned outpost

The second Raven in the Abandoned Outpost, and the last one in Midgard, is located inside the Abandoned Outpost itself. Once you enter the first large area, she will be on your right, balanced on a wooden stand supporting one of the moving cranes.

All crows in Svartalfheim

In the realm of the dwarves Svartalfheim must be found and killed 13 ravens. This is a large area and you will have plenty of time to explore to find some of these Ravens, but many of them will only be available much later in the game.

“In general, it is recommended to engage in collecting after the completion of the story campaign. Not only crows, but many other items may not be available in the context of the plot.

1. Auvangar swamps

From the Mystic Gate in the swamps of Auvangar, go forward and you will quickly notice a ghostly green raven sitting on a high rock on the left.

2. Nidavellir Raven

Head to the Huldra brothers shop in Nidavellir - it is located in the area of the large boat pier by the river. Once you're in the store, look up and to the left and you'll see a crow perched on the roof of a nearby building.

3. Watchtower

Climb the watchtower in the middle of Bounty Bay and then look out over the water from the southwest side. You will notice the Raven flying low over the water, up the Watchtower, and then back towards the water to complete the loop. The best opportunity to hit him is when he is almost directly above the Watchtower.

4. Horn of Radswinn

Radswinn's installation has a crane with a large hook at the end of the rope. The raven sits on a hook, ready to receive an ax in its beak.

5. Alberich

Take a shortcut through the Alberich Gorge, until you reach an area open to sunlight - the path ahead can also be blocked by gold metal, which needs to be blown up if you haven't been here before. The raven in this area is on large rocks to the left of the path. He will sit next to the tree on these stones.

6. Horn of Althiof

Swim to the pier of the drilling rig and climb the chain. Climbing up the ledge, you will see Raven in the gap between the broken wooden planks on the left.

7. Lyngbakr Island

There is a path on Lyngbakr Island that leads to the chest, but it is blocked by golden material that can only be destroyed with an explosion. Grab the nearest charge and throw it at the gold to clear a path. You can now move on to the chest where you will find a small tunnel that you can crawl through. Once you exit the other side of the tunnel and hit the wooden platform, look to your left and you will see a Raven.

8. Alberich Island

To find this raven, you need to unlock Draupnir's Spear. Moor the boat to the shore and climb up the stone wall on the right, using the wind hole for the Spear. This will allow you to reach the upper area where the Raven is located, but you will need to destroy the sonic stone blocking the other path in order to get to the Raven. Once the path is clear, take the short path and you'll notice a Raven circling the water to the east.

9. Alberich Island

From the location of the previous Crow on Alberich Island, you can use the nearby fixtures to jump over to the wooden structure in the water and then back onto Alberich Island itself. Once you're on the island, follow the path to the mechanism that lowers the gate. On this path, you will see a small hole in the stone wall on the left. The raven sits at the end of this hole.

10. Forge

Once you get to the Forge in the Mining Wagon, follow the wooden path and you will easily spot the Raven circling overhead, or at least hear its cawing.

11. Forge

As part of the Forging Fate quest, you will return to the Forge and you will need to travel to a new area to meet the Lady of the Forge. You will pass through a cave tunnel and eventually reach a small lake with a lift in the middle of the lake. As you walk along the path leading to the lake, you will notice a Raven on a rock.

12. Yarnsmead Mines

A raven in the mines of Yarnsmead circles over the water in the center of the quarries. From the north side of the mines, you can jump down at several points to reach a chain that will let you drop down to a small platform right by the water. From here you can easily kill Raven.

13.Apple core

As you work your way through the Applecore, you will eventually reach a puzzle where you have to freeze water channels with an ax and have Atreus shoot sonic ore chunks to get through the area on a moving platform. Once you get off the moving platform, look to your left and you will see a Raven sitting on a rafter.

All crows in Alfheim

There are 10 ravens in Alfheim. In order to find them all, you will need to complete some additional tasks, as they will unlock new areas of the kingdom with Ravens in them.

1. Strond

This Raven is easy to spot as you make your way up Strond towards the Temple of Light. Assuming you're on the Secret of Groa quest, you'll reach a quiet point where Tyr mentions Freyr, and you'll need to go over a stone bridge and jump across a small gap. There is a large withered tree to the left of the bridge, and you can easily spot a Raven perched on one of the branches.

2. Temple of Light

At the beginning of your adventure in the Temple of Light in Alfheim, you will pass through a doorway and then up a stone spiral staircase. About halfway up the stairs there is a spot where you can jump off a fairly well hidden ledge onto a new path. Follow this path and you will find Raven sitting outside the gate.

Move away from the gate to see a purple fragment of the Twilight Stone attached to a pillar on the left. You need to throw the Leviathan Ax at the right angle so that it bounces off the Twilight Stone and hits another piece of the Twilight Stone right above the Raven, causing the ax to bounce again and hit the Raven.

3. Temple of Light

Much further into the temple, you'll eventually reach a room where you'll have to fight some elves - this room has a pillar of light coming through the middle, and a few panels of Twilight Stone around the edge and in the middle. Once the battle is over, look to the northwest and you will see a Raven sitting on a pillar.

4. Canyon

Go to the Huldra brothers shop in the Canyon. There is a fenced area next to the store, and Raven flies over it in a figure-eight pattern.

5. Steppes

Head to the temple building on the northern outskirts of the Barrens. An old tree grows very close to this building, and a Raven sits on the trunk, waiting for a blow.

6. Steppes

Just a short walk in the northeast corner of the Barrens is a massive dragon-like beast skull atop a sand dune, and here you'll find the second Raven of the Steppes. Stand on the north side of the skull and look south. It is quite obvious that the Raven sits in the eye socket of the skull.

7. Forbidden Sands

As you exit the Hjart Cave Tunnel and arrive at the Forbidden Sands of Alfheim, you'll notice a large rock formation sticking out to the right - it's very clearly visible on the map and not hard to miss. . Head to the north side of the rock formation and the first of the Forbidden Sands Ravens will

8. Forbidden Sands

Head to the southwestern part of the Forbidden Sands and look for a small rise hidden in the rock - it's also directly west of the large rock hole that Hafguf's jellyfish emerges from if you've completed the Song of Benefits of the Sands.

Go to the nook and then grab the wall on the right to get to the dais. Then look to the northwest corner and Raven will be waiting there on the cliff wall to be hit with an axe.

9. Forbidden Sands

From the location of the previous Raven, you need to head north along the western rock wall to eventually reach the entrance to Freyr's monument, and you should quickly spot the Raven gliding across the area in a figure-of-eight. Approach the monument to get close to the Raven and knock him out of the sky.

10. Forbidden Sands

Travel to the Elven Sanctuary, a large building in the northeast corner of the Forbidden Sands. Instead of climbing up and going through the front door, stand at the base of the building where there will be a stone door with a pile of stones in front of it. Use your weapon to break the pile of rocks to open a hole that you can crawl through.

Go through the hole and go down the path to the cave. You will quickly notice a Raven circling from the left side. Carefully time your weapon throw to hit the last Forbidden Sands Raven and the last Alfheim Raven.

All ravens of Vanaheim

Total in the Kingdom of Vanaheim 15 ravensmore than in any other kingdom. But you will find eight of them in the jungle and swamps. The remaining seven are in a hidden area, which will be unlocked later - then there will be a map for this. Vanaheim also has a day/night mechanic that opens and closes certain travel routes. Although Ravens can be found at any time, it is best to look for them at night as they are easier to spot.

1. Southern wilds

Looking at the South Wilds map, you will notice that very close to the Mystic Passage there is a small path that leads west and leads to the riverbank. Follow this path to the river and you will see a Raven hovering over the water.

2. Camp Freyra

To find the only Crow in Camp Frey, you need to follow the winding northern path leading to Barry's Eastern Woods. As you exit the cave into the jungle, look north to see a large stone ring hanging from the trees. The raven sits on a tree branch right in front of the stone ring.

3. Eastern forests

In the woods of Vanaheim, you can find a raven by leaving the main path and turning left along the stone steps that lead to a ruined building with a Norn chest inside.

Opposite the chest is a short path leading to a slightly elevated position from where you can see Raven - keep an eye out for Vulver too. Look to the west and you will see him sitting on the roots of a huge tree.

4. Abandoned village

When you get to the Abandoned Village from the eastern forest, enter the large ruined building to the east. Once inside, go to the south side of the building, through the archway and down a small path leading to a stone pavilion.

You can then approach the raised part and Raven will be visible between two massive tree roots.

5. River Delta

In the Vanaheim River Delta area, look for a small piece of land where you can land your boat called Pilgrim's Landing - it's on the western edge of the Vanaheim map. Once on the platform, climb the temple structure and cross all the bridges until you reach the end, where a golden legendary chest awaits you.

There is an archway to the left of the chest and you can see one of the River Delta Ravens jumping over the rock on the opposite side of the river.

6. River Delta

To get another raven in the river delta, you need to go to Noatun's Garden, which is located east of Pilgrim's Landing. Pull your boat to the shore of the garden and drive into the easternmost building - if you haven't been to this garden yet, the main gate to this building will be closed and you will need to climb through the roof.

Inside this building, you will notice the collapsed walls behind the loot chest. This allows you to see a raven perched on a branch hanging over the river in the distance. You will have to aim higher than the raven to compensate for the distance.

7. Goddess Waterfall

Once you lower the magical stone gate blocking the river at the Ruins of the Rock, you can swim downstream to reach the Goddess Falls. There is one Raven in this area and it just circles around. We recommend that you climb the rocks to get the best angle to hit the Raven as it flies by.

8. Hidden passage

From the Goddess Falls, you can get to the Hidden Passage to get the next Raven. As you swim through the area, you'll spot a Norn chest on the right, and just behind it, you'll see a Raven perched on a tree branch hanging from the ceiling of the cave. To hit him, head to the next area where you can drop off your boat which is right in front of the Raven, then turn around and throw your ax at the bird on the branch.

All crows in Vanaheim Crater

This is a separate area of Vanaheim, where you can find seven more ravens, which count towards all the ravens in Vanaheim. You can only unlock the Crater by completing a side quest called The Smell of Survival, which becomes available towards the end of the main story. We also recommend that you go to the Jungle area in the south of the Crater and open the dam as soon as possible. This will flood the area, allowing you to move around by boat and needed to access certain parts of the crater, however the time of day doesn't matter.

1. Plain

Follow this Raven to the shop at the northeast corner of the Plains. If you're standing right next to the shop, face east and you'll notice a Raven pecking at the water's edge (or the cliff's edge if you haven't opened the dam).

2. Plain

Move to the western part of the Plains and then run to the northeast corner of the main open area. You should see frozen lightning ahead of you and a raven sitting nearby on a rock to your left.

3. Plain

From the previous Raven, go west and climb over the collapsed pillar, then jump down to a wide open area where there is a gate damaged by a pole of contempt on the right and a cave on the left.

Head towards the cave, but before jumping over the chasm, look into the hole and you'll see a Raven sitting on the rocks below.

4. Plain

Make your way through the rest of this western cave in the Plains. Eventually, you will climb the wall and follow the path leading to another shop, the Mystic Gate, and the Sky Sanctuary. To find the next Raven, look to the other side of the wall you just climbed and the Raven will be sitting on the rocks.

5. Plain

To get to this Raven, you need to reach an open area in the north of the Plains. There is a Mysterious Gate in the area called the Overgrown Tower, and it's also where you fight the dragon called the Crimson Horror. Once you're in this area, there's a hole on the western edge that you can look into and you'll find Raven there.

6. Jungle

Once you've opened the dam, you can swim around the back of the main temple on the east side of the jungle, the roof of which serves as a boss fight arena for another dragon. Go to the open area where you will either be fighting or have already fought two ogres, and then look south towards the temple building. You will notice the Raven perched on a ledge above the chest.

7. Funnel

When the Crater is flooded, you will be able to go around parts of the Pitfalls and open a gate that will lead you to the dragon's lair as part of the "Burning Skies" quest. As you enter the dragon's lair, you will notice Raven on a ledge on the left. You need to land your boat right in front of you and go through the lair, go up to the boss fight arena and defeat the dragon. Now head to the southwest edge of the arena and you should be able to easily hit Raven as he is just below you on the ledge.

All ravens of Muspelheim

Only two ravens can handle Muspelheim's heat. Both of them can be found when you play as Kratos and Atreus during the quest called The Summon.

flaming rocks

Once you get to Muspelheim's Flaming Cliffs, jump off the cliff and then immediately turn right and follow the path that winds into a cave with a golden legendary chest inside. To the right of the chest there is a gap in the wall with a small amount of lava inside, Raven sits inside.

Forge of Surt

Once you're done talking to Surt at his forge, turn left and you'll see Raven sitting in an archway of a ruined building on a rock.

All crows of Helheim

Only two Odin's Crows inhabit Helheim, and you can only kill them during or after your return to the realm as Kratos and Atreus in the Reunion main quest. They are both very easy to spot though, so you should be able to kill them during this quest.

full gate

Once you arrive in Helgrind - whether it's during the "Reunion" main quest or via the Mystic Gate, go ahead and you'll spot a Raven flying near the ruined wall that Garm knocked down.

Helgrind

After dealing with the Mega Wolf Garm, you'll need to leave Helheim by solving a door puzzle that requires you to use the Leviathan's Ax and Atreus' Runic Arrows to freeze the hidden gear to keep the door open. On the other side of this door is a Knowledge Marker, and the Raven sits directly above the stone wall.

All rewards for killing Ravens

When you find Odin's ravens God of war ragnarok, you will be able to open reward chests in Niflheim. Use the Mystic Gate to travel to the Raven Tree in Niflheim, where you'll see a rather spooky tree covered in all the crows you just killed, now free of Odin's control. In front of the tree, there are six golden legendary chests that you can open based on the number of crows you have killed. Here's what you get in each chest:

  • Chest 1 - Left, requires 6 Ravens to unlock: Girdle of Raven's Tears is a high defense value and increases healing from health gems, rage usage, and any equipment by 15% (stacks with bracers).
  • Chest 2 - Left, requires 12 Ravens to unlock: Raven's Tears Bracers - Moderate strength and defense stats, and increases healing from health gems, rage usage, and any gear by 15% (stacks with the belt).
  • Chest 3 is on the left and requires 18 Ravens to unlock: Raven's Tears Breastplate - Moderate Strength and Luck with high defense. Hitting enemies also has a low luck chance to grant Healing Mist.
  • Chest 4 is on the right and requires 28 ravens to unlock: Breath of Tamura Leviathan Ax A heavy runic attack that creates a massive ice storm that deals high damage. If you fully upgrade it, a large amount of cold damage will be added.
  • Chest 5 is on the right and requires 38 ravens to unlock: Meteor Strike Blades of Chaos A heavy rune attack that deals damage and burns, unleashing many small fireballs over a wide area. Fully upgrade it to increase damage and burn effects, as well as add a small amount of stun.
  • Chest 6 is on the right and requires all 48 ravens to be unlocked: Finger of the Ruins Draupnir Spear A heavy runic attack that summons a large tornado that launches smaller enemies and deals good regular and Force damage. Fully upgrade it to maximize damage and increase Force damage and stun effects.

When all the chests are open, you will meet the Raven Keeper, who seems to be very angry that you have frozen all of their Ravens. Naturally, it's time for a boss fight, so you need to head to the nearby arena to fight the Raven Keeper. As soon as you reduce their health to about a quarter, they will disappear and an ice dragon named Pale will appear in their place.

Defeat the Pale One to respawn the Raven Keeper, then finish him off to complete the Eyes of Odin quest. The Pale One will give you two Dragon Claws, and the Raven Keeper will drop the Forsbrandr Relic Handle (use it to push enemies away and get a temporary Protection Aura) and Niflheim's Enchant Justice for the Yggdrasil Amulet.
