During the Lost Stars event in Genshin Impact, travelers will be able to complete the Mysterious Stars, Stars of Deceptive Dreams, and Star of Destiny quests to obtain Extinct Star Energy and Extinct Star Essence.
A strange meteorite suddenly fell from the sky, bringing a rare and dangerous sleeping sickness to Teyvat. People trapped in their own sleep, mystical dreams, unknown stars... Death threatens everyone!
During the event period, Adventurers who complete certain quests and the Star of Destiny challenge will be able to obtain Extinct Star Energy and Extinct Star Essence.
Extinct Star Energy and Extinct Star Essence can be exchanged in the Event Store for rewards such as Ascension Materials, Hero XP, Enchantment Magic Ore, Talent Enhancement Materials, and Crown of Insight!

The following characters will be buffed during the Gathering Meteorite Remains and Fallen Star Challenges: Tartaglia, Mona, Fischl, Lisa, Bei Dou, Ning Guang, Noelle, Chun Yun, and Xiang Ling.

Mysterious star. Gameplay details
Speak to Katherine in Mondstadt to start the Mysterious Star quest. After completing the quest, you will gain access to the first segment of the Lost Stars event: “Mysterious Star. Overture".
Open the Mysterious Star event page. Overture" and click on the location icon to mark the places where meteorites fall.
When you reach the affected area, the mini-map in the upper left corner of the screen will show the approximate location of the meteorite fragments. The energy inside the shards resonates with the God Eye of the nearest character. At the same time, fragments of the meteorite and the Eye of God begin to glow brightly. The closer the character is to the shard, the brighter the glow.
When you find a meteorite shard, simply interact with it to collect it. Collect shards to earn Extinct Star Energy, and complete collection quests to earn rewards on the event page.
On November 16, shard collection quests will be available in three areas, and on November 17, shard collection quests will be unlocked in three other areas. To start collecting in the following areas, first complete the quest in the first three areas.
Star of an unattainable dream. Gameplay details
The launch of the second phase of the event, Star of the Unattainable Dream, will take place on November 18th. Complete the "Crisis Deepens" mission to progress to the second phase of the "Star of the Unattainable Dream" event. Travelers have to go to the places marked on the map to collect meteorites.
When collecting the remains of a meteorite, you can choose different difficulty levels. Available levels depend on the current World Level. Not only the difficulty differs, but also the rewards. You can choose as you wish.
Defeat opponents to advance collection progress. Complete the progress bar within the allotted time to successfully collect the meteor, otherwise the collection will fail.
If you move too far away from the meteorite remains during collection, the meteor will lose energy and collection progress will decrease. During the battle for the Energy of an Extinct Star, the remains of a meteorite exude concentrated elemental energy, which will make opponents more brutal and increase their elemental defense.
After the progress bar is full, you can spend 20 units. Elemental Resin to collect Meteorite Remains for Dead Star Energy and Friendship Experience. After collecting a certain amount of meteorite remains, you will also be able to collect additional rewards on the event screen.
Star of Destiny. Gameplay details
Complete the quest "The water will show what the sky hides"to open the third phase of the event - "Star of Destiny".
After the start of the third phase of the event, Travelers will be able to start the Fallen Star challenge and collect the Essence of an Extinct Star. You will be able to take part in this challenge in either solo or co-op mode.
When the test begins, one of the following stellar anomalies will randomly activate: Orbital Shift, Dark Omen, or Unlucky Star.
Defeat monsters to accumulate stellar energy. Press the T key or the collection icon in the star energy donation area to turn in the accumulated star energy. There is a limit to the amount of stellar energy you can carry, so be sure to turn it in right away. If you take damage during the energy donation, the collection process will be interrupted and you will lose the gained energy (when a certain stellar anomaly is in effect, interruption during the energy donation can even lead to the loss of all collected energy), so remain vigilant during the surrender process.
During the Fallen Star challenge, a certain character can randomly receive a special effect. Possible effects include Star of Plenty and Star of Heroism.
Fill the Stellar Gathering Gauge within the allotted time to complete the challenge.
When you complete the Fallen Star Challenge, you have a chance to spend 40 Energy. Primordial Resin to receive the Essence of a Dead Star and other rewards. The rewards available will depend on your World Level. Extinct Star Essence can be exchanged in the Event Store for Talent Upgrade and Weapon Upgrade materials.
