As you travel through the Baldur's Gate III Early Access campaign, it can be helpful to know an alternative way to resurrect one of your dead characters without using the Scroll of Revive. Here's what you need to know about this secret method.
Originally announced right before E3 2019, Baldur's Gate III is finally in the hands of Early Access players. While this version doesn't contain everything the full game has to offer, it still gives players a good idea of what it will be like when it officially releases sometime in the near future.
The game, based on Dungeons and Dragons, allows characters to form groups and complete tasks, just like in the aforementioned board game. Usually, when party members die, you can revive them with Scrolls of Rebirth, which can bring back a party member with one HP. But what if you don't have the aforementioned item but still want to return someone? This is where the Hooded Skeleton comes in handy.
Where to find the hooded skeleton?
The hooded skeleton is originally found in a secret room in Dank Crypt. While in the secret room, players can open the sarcophagus, which reveals an undead creature. He will not attack you and will first ask you a simple question: "What is the life of one mortal worth?"
After that, you can reply to him. You've been given seven different answers, and it's currently not known exactly how many of them are working on it. However, if you reply "No life is worth more than any other", he will reply that he is "satisfied" and let you continue on your way.
How does a hooded skeleton bring a character to life?
After the first meeting with him there is nothing more to do. He will leave you alone and you can exit Dank Crypt. The next time you see him is at your camp on the north side. If you interact with him, he will tell you that he can revive one of your dead characters for 200 gold.
If you have enough gold, it is highly recommended to take advantage of this offer, even if you have a Scroll of Revive. Not using this valuable item is a pretty nice deal.
Baldur's Gate III is currently in Early Access on PC. The full version of the game does not currently have a release date.
