Superhero Abilities Guide Season 4 Chapter 2 Fortnite

The fourth season of Fortnite has finally arrived, bringing a host of superheroes to the game. The trailer for Season 4, released early this morning, showed off a new mechanic: the ability of a mythical hero. Instead of mythical weapons and items, we will use these abilities in Season 4.
Even though every character in the Season 4 trailer has Mythic abilities, there are only four Mythic items in the game at the moment, associated with the three heroes/villains: Groot's Bramble Shield, Doctor Doom's Arcane Bomb, Doctor Doom's Arcane Gauntlets, and Silver Surfer board.
As you might expect, Doctor Doom has two such mythical items. Arcane Gauntlets fire at you in the air, and a Mystic Bomb tosses an energy ball that deals 60 damage to players and sets a huge area on fire.
You can find Doctor Doom and his mythical abilities in Doom's Domain, also known as Pleasant Park. Doom appears as a boss under the open soccer field or in the castle to the north. Our first impression of these items is that none of them are very useful in solo, but could be more powerful and effective in group matches.
Groot's Bramble Shield and Silver Surfer's Board are slightly different. They spawn at Quinjet landing spots throughout the map. These areas are marked with a white ship and appear shortly after the Battle Bus takes off. You can wait to see where they land even though they are in the same area in every match.
There are four such locations in total, and each gives you a chance to find one of the superhero's mythical items. There can be more than one of these superhero items in each match, and every spot seems to guarantee at least one of them will appear.
Groot's Bramble Shield is very similar to the Baller, although it is slower and heals when you ride it. After the timer expires or you cancel the ability, it will have a cooldown of 25 seconds.
The Surfer Board seems to appear a little less frequently than Groot's transport - although this may just be our speculation. This item is very similar to the launch pad that was closed in the Season 4 patch.
You can use this item to fire into the air and re-deploy your glider. Press the "activate" button again to cancel and fall to the ground. Cancellation of the paraglider also prevents fall damage.
We fully expect Epic to add abilities for Storm, Iron Man, Wolverine, and all other Battle Pass characters as the season progresses. It will be interesting to see if all of these abilities will be in the game at once or will be swapped after a few updates.
