The Fortnite Winter Royale Duos 2019 tournament kicked off yesterday with a big prize pool. However, Day 1 was not well received by almost all players participating in Winter Royale due to the format that Epic chose for Day XNUMX.
On the first day, the scoring system meant 15 points for a win, and one point for each kill. Players were disappointed that they would get absolutely no points for finishing in the top 10, for example. Today, the Fortnite subreddit labeled this rating system as one of the worst ever used by Epic Games.

SCORING SYSTEM
The scoring system on the second day of Winter Royale will be better than on the first. A win gives the player 13 points, but you can score up to 28th place. Each elimination is worth one point and here is the full format of the scoring system for day 2:
- ➤Victory Royale: 13 Points
- ➤2nd – 3rd: 11 points
- ➤4nd – 6rd: 9 points
- ➤7nd – 10rd: 7 points
- ➤11nd – 15rd: 5 points
- ➤16th – 21st: 3 points
- ➤22nd - 28th: 1 point
Remember that sessions last approximately four hours. There are a maximum of fifteen matches that you can play during each session.
PRIZE FUND
Initially, a total of $2019 million was expected to be available each day of the Fortnite Winter Royale Duos 5 tournament. However, due to the demand shown for the tournament, Epic has significantly increased the prize pool. The total prize for Day 2 is $7,795,000 and here is the breakdown for each platform including PC, PS4, Xbox One, Mobile and Nintendo Switch.
