Epic Games has released an extraordinary content update that includes backlog fixes, a new emote leak, new NFL skin styles, and a redesigned Save the World mode...

Epic Games has released a surprise content update for Battle Royale and Save the World. Nothing special has been added to the game, but there have been a few bug fixes as well as a few new skin styles and a brand new emote leaked by insiders.

Another significant update is expected before Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 Begins February 20th , v11.50. It's not that update, it just looks like a small drop in content since the v11.40 patch.

Epic Games has not previously announced this update and no downtime is expected as it is just a small patch.

New NFL Player Skin Styles

According to leading Fortnite insider ShiinaBR, the main addition for Battle Royale players is new skin styles for NFL football outfits, as well as a new emote.

The dataminer also explains that there are "a few updates to Save the World" but nothing new about creative mode.

He also posted a video showing all the new styles and emotes in action. The emote is called "Free Mix" and is "rare" in nature.

Ziplines were also fixed earlier than intended, with a total of ten bug fixes listed in this patch as per Trello :

  • ➤Ziplines re-enabled
  • Fixed unintentional editing of building parts across floors.
  • Fixed editing structures when looking straight down.
  • ➤Fixed no sound on PC.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Quick Bar to be disabled by default on all platforms.
  • Fixed overtime issue "Visiting different bus stops" not tracking all bus stops
  • Fixed missing Star Wars Legacy entries
  • Fixed a bug where the "F" key would not allow proper movement after remapping the direction.
  • Fixed quick edit that left players in edit mode.
  • Fixed the disappearance of the sniper rifle crosshair when players enter the Hideout.

Save the World Updates

Unfortunately for players who are desperate for new Battle Royale content, the bulk of this update is for Save the World. Epic released the complete homebase status report, which details what will happen this week.

One of the major additions is a new bow that shoots and spreads lightning between enemies.

Below is Epic Games' report on all the events that will take place in Save the World:

WARM LAMP BOW

Lightning Attack! Hit Husks with this deadly weapon and lightning will bounce from one enemy to another. Fires an arrow that flies in an arc. The longer the charge time, the higher the damage, range and flight speed.
