Fortnite: How to Get Free Winterfest Skins
In this article, we'll walk you through the climax of the Winterfest, which will eventually give you free Christmas Fortnite skins.
Epic Games launched the Fortnite Winterfest Christmas event this year on Wednesday. It was expected to go live on December 17th, but Epic delayed it without giving a delay.
For the most part, the Christmas event is similar to what we had last year, the 14 days of Fortnite. There are challenges to complete each day that will provide players with a free cosmetic reward. The LTM is back too, coming back from the vault for 24 hours, and there are new Fortnite skins in the item shop.
One of the new additions this year is the Fortnite Christmas Gifts that can be found in the Winter House from the Lobby, which is also a new addition with its main two features embodied in Gifts and a Fireplace that grants players XP.
Whenever Fortnite gifts are available, you'll find them inside the Nutcracker House. For example, if you unlock the mint pickaxe, you will find it on the right side of the fireplace in the winter house.
Now that players have the opportunity to find out what gifts await them, there is an incentive to compete for them. We've already covered a few of the cosmetic items you can get from specific gifts, and you can check them out by this link.
WHICH CHRISTMAS GIFTS SHOULD I OPEN TO RECEIVE FREE FORTNITE SKINS?
A video has surfaced on social media that shows the player receiving the Fortnite skin ""Lieutenant Evergreen". This outfit is encrypted but has been leaked by insiders as “Ornament Soldier"
Rest assured that players will not be able to get two free Fortnite skins at once by opening the Winterfest Christmas Gifts. Even though Epic has stated that there will still be two of them in the gifts, it seems that only one place contains equipment.
There is a video that shows a gamer from Japan getting the skin Lieutenant Evergreen, by clicking on the Christmas tree, which is right behind the Nutcracker. Apparently you need to repeat this to get the skin.
This makes sense due to the fact that there is only one gift that actually contains the skin, which is called "Woolly Mammoth". It's possible that on Christmas Day, players will be able to click on the Christmas tree and get the Lieutenant Evergreen/Ornament Solider outfit, but this is a theory and nothing has been confirmed.
In reality, the Fortnite gift shown below will contain the Mammoth skin, but it can only be opened on the last day of the event:
