Fortnite: How to Send Coral Friends to Space

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 brought us a list of secret challenges that involve Coral Shells.
This group seems to be doing a lot better than they did at the start of the season, as they have now expanded and built the Coral Castle on top of the huge Maelstrom just north of the Effortless Shore.
Attentive players have already helped Coral Buddies move into the Wood and Brick development phases, but Season 8 Week 3 brought a new challenge to the game: providing them with the materials they need to launch a rocket into space.
You can find a group of Coral Buddies where they've always been - outside of the lighthouse in the northwest corner of the map. Here is an old photo of their island, but it is still accurate.
The requirement for the rocket is only 100 metal, but you will need to collect them before you get to the island. There doesn't seem to be any sources of metal around them, which is one of the reasons they need our help from the start.
The coral astronauts have already started building a base for their rocket. All you have to do is walk up, give them some metal and see how they finish the project.
Once you give the corals what they need, they'll build their rocket and take off into space - possibly looking for an old Chapter 1 map. Let's hope they find what they're looking for.
