Epic Games Confirms Long-Awaited Fortnite Changes Coming Soon
This has been long overdue, but now Fortnite players can relax: Epic is working on preliminary changes to make editing easier after years of community petitions.
Pre-editing has been a contentious issue in the Fortnite community for years. It is available to all players and helps players quickly place many edited builds and structures.
However, most players do not use pre-editing, so its existence is a big hindrance. This may leave players unprotected due to poor build, which they didn't want to do at the time.
With each new season, there is a new rallying cry in the community, pleading with Epic to at least give the player the option to disable pre-editing. Although they avoided this problem for quite some time, the good news finally appeared.
After a year of uncertainty with Epic saying that they are "actively considering" it , the developers are now on a course to give the community what they want.
"We don't have an exact schedule, but we're going to [add an option to turn off pre-editing]" told players on Reddit community coordinator TheStevieT .
This comes after more videos of players dying due to their pre-edited builds went viral on Reddit and other social media platforms. This is a fairly common occurrence, and with Epic solidifying its position, players are getting excited.
However, it may take some time before it is added. Epics started work, but without an exact schedule. However, it can be hoped that it will be added to Chapter 5 Season 2 at the end of 2020.
Another Epic employee, gstaffEpic, explained that such a change not yet in any of the builds of Fortnite. However, it is getting closer, and the developers are "working on it."
It may not be the most explosive topic, but as far as quality of life changes go, it could completely change the way you play Fortnite. We will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
