Ninja Teases New Fortnite Map for Ninja and iKON Events

Popular Twitch streamer Ninja recently teased followers that a new Fortnite map would be created for the Ninja and iKON events taking place later this month. While there were many changes to the Fortnite Battle Royale map over the life of the game, it was the only environment that Fortnite players could play in. This has led many members of the community to recently ask Epic Games to create another gaming zone for Fortnite. However, the second map to be created for the popular Battle Royale may not be what fans expected, thanks to the surprise reveal of a new Fortnite map on Monday, March 4th.

The upcoming Ninja and iKON Fortnite event ties into Samsung's latest Fortnite promotion, which sees Galaxy S10 owners get an exclusive skin and emotes. (Source: Samsung) During his March 4 Twitch broadcast, Ninja announced to his viewers that he will be attending an event in New York on Saturday March 16 where he will play Fortnite with iKON K-Pop star Jung Changwoo on a newly created map for the event.

“I'm going to be heading to New York on March 16th to play one of these guys in an epic siege match on a brand new map exclusive to Fortnite. It's right. A brand new map literally built for this event that you guys can play,” Ninja said regarding the new Fortnite map for the upcoming iKON event.

However, it remains unclear at this time if this piece of content for the Ninja and iKON event in New York will be a permanent addition to the game, or if it will only be used for the upcoming Ninja and iKON event. With much of the Battle Royale community looking forward to seeing the new map in Fortnite soon, it will probably be a big disappointment if this piece of content is only available for Ninja and iKON events.
