Our quick guide on how to earn prestige points in League of Legends covers everything you need to know about it and what you can spend it on. There's not much time left and you need to get Prestige Points as soon as possible, because some cosmetics will become unavailable in the near future!

2019 Prestige Skins will roll off the shelves on February 3, 2020 and will only be available as random loot from Hextech Crafting after that date. This means you only have until February 3rd to purchase the following skins:

  • ➤Bewitching Miss Fortune
  • ➤Blood Moon Aatrox
  • ➤Fuzz Fizz
  • ➤K/DA Ahri
  • ➤K/DA Evelynn
  • ➤Pulsefire Thresh
  • ➤Star Guardian Neeko

Let's talk about the different options where you have to get 100 prestige points and buy one of the power-ups before they leave the store.

EVENT LIGHT AND DARKNESS (125 PRESTIGE POINTS)

This will be your most cost-effective option as the Light and Shadow Pass only costs 1650 Riot Points in the store, for reference you can get 1380 RP for $10. You can get a lot of cool rewards and other Hextech crafting items, but let's just define 2 ways we can get prestige points after purchasing it.

25 PP - Missions

You can earn 25 prestige points just by playing League of Legends on Summoner's Rift, Howling Abyss (ARAM), or even Teamfight Tactics! You will receive 5 quests one after the other to win games (in TFT, placing in the top 4 counts as a win), each awarding 5 prestige points.

100 PP - Buy with 2200 event tokens

Once you receive the event pass, you will generate tokens for every game you play, as well as bonus tokens for your first win of the day bonus, which is usually only awarded to Blue Essence. Play enough to generate 2200 tokens and you can purchase 100 prestige points!

Note: You can only purchase 100 PP once. This means you cannot save 4400 Event Tokens and purchase 200 PP etc.

MASTERPIECE CHESTS

You can purchase the following sets in the store:

  • 225RP: 1 Masterpiece Chest and Key + 1 Prestige Point
  • 1125RP: 5 Masterpiece Chests and Key + 6 Prestige Points
  • 2250RP: 11
  • Masterpiece Chest and Key + 13 Prestige Points

This option is significantly more expensive than earning points through the Light and Shadow event pass, but allows you to gain prestige points without spending hours in games completing missions or collecting event tokens.

Note: If you want to start collecting 2020 Prestige Points, they will be available in similar packs starting January 15, 2020. This will be your first opportunity to earn some points towards the confirmed Riot Games x Louis Vuitton prestige edition skin: True Damage Senna.

WHAT DO I DO IF I CANNOT GET 100 PRESTIGE POINTS TO BUY THE SKIN?

Good news! The Riot End of Year Prestige Shop features 12 items that cost 50, 25, 15, 5, 3, or 1 prestige.

  • PROJECT 2019 Jackpot bag – 50 PP
    • Contains 3 skin shards of the same level (750 RP, 975 RP, 1350 RP or 1820 RP) and 1050 Orange Essence
  • Revel Grab Bag - 50PP
    • Contains 520 RP Leather Shard, 750 RP Leather Shard, 975 RP Leather Shard, 1350 RP Leather Shard and 1820 RP Leather Shard
  • Arcade Jackpot Bag 2019 - 50PP
    • Contains 3 Old Leather Shards (one guaranteed 975 RP or higher) and 1520 Orange Essence
  • Exclusive Animated Emote - 25 pages
  • Exclusive Leather Ward - 15 PP
  • Exclusive icon - 10 pp
  • Event Icons from the last 100 Prestige Point Packs - 5 PP
  • Hextech key - 3 PP
  • 30 orange essence - 1 pp
  •

Resource

Be sure to spend all your 2019 Prestige Points by February 3rd, after which they will be gone forever and 2019 skins and items will no longer be available for purchase. If you want some information about the changes to Prestige Points in 2020, or you're wondering why the Event Prestige skins (examples: Arcade Caitlyn, True Damage Qiyana) are not in the store right now, be sure to check prestige update message by Riot.
