B.R.U.T.E. BALANCE CHANGES
The BRUT robot finally got Nerfed!
This has answered the prayers of many players who have taken to social media to express their dissatisfaction with this recent addition to the game. The Mech's maximum number of missiles has been reduced from 10 to 6, the rate of fire of the missiles has been reduced, and the explosion radius of the missiles has also been greatly reduced. The cooldown has been increased and the B.R.U.T.E. will no longer provide materials to players! These changes have already been made, more about the change below:
Several BRUTA parameter changes have been made. These changes are already in the game and are active in all modes, so you do not need to update the game.
Also, due to an audio issue, we've temporarily removed the Junk Rift for this weekend's Fortnite Mini Championship and Arena Modes until the release of Update 10.20.
BRUT
- The maximum number of missiles fired by the BRUTE in a single salvo has been reduced from 10 to 6.
- The speed at which missiles are launched during a salvo has been reduced by 56%.
- The goal of these changes is to improve interaction between B.R.U.T.E. users and their opponents by giving players under rocket fire more time to react and defend.
- B.R.U.T.A. missile blast radius reduced by 42%.
- The purpose of the change is to improve the understanding and predictability of the behavior of concentrated rocket fire. The B.R.U.T.E. will still pose a significant threat to structures, but will be less lethal to players.
- Haste cooldown slowed down from 3 to 5 seconds.
- The former reload speed not only increased the B.R.U.T.E.'s mobility, but also made it more invulnerable to long-range shots. This change prevents the B.R.U.T.E. from moving quickly over long distances, and also increases the chance of hitting him.
- Jump speed from using air boost reduced by 33%.
- We want to limit the BRUTE's ability to move in and out of combat over long distances so that players can be more strategic in their encounters. In general, we hope to shift the focus from the high mobility of the BRUTES to their already fairly high defense capability.
- B.R.U.T.E. no longer provides driver and passenger materials when destroyed by stomp or acceleration.
- Note: This change will be made a little later than the others.
- We want to make it more stressful for players to spend time outside of B.R.U.T.E., as well as lessen the chances of players collecting materials too quickly without putting themselves at risk.
- Adjusted the variability in the frequency of occurrence of BRUTs for the first, second and third phases of the Storm in key modes. The spawn rate in arena modes is unchanged.
- The first phase of the Storm
- New Spawn Rate

- 14.3% chance that two will appear.
- 14.3% chance that three will spawn.
- There is a 14.3% chance that four will appear.
- 14.3% chance that five will appear.

- 33% chance that two will appear.
- 33% chance that three will spawn.

- Old Spawn Rate
- 33% chance that one will appear.
- 33% chance that two will appear.
- 33% chance that three will spawn.
- New Spawn Rate
- Previously, it was always guaranteed to find a small amount of B.R.U.T.E. in the early stages of a match. We want to add some variation to this process so that matches don't run the same way. The overall average number of BRUTs per match has been slightly reduced.
- The first phase of the Storm
- Reduced the amount of materials required to charge the gunslinger's shield from 200 to 75.
- We continue to focus on the importance of using defense materials.
- B.R.U.T.E. durability increased from 1000 to 1250.
- With the changes above, B.R.U.T.A. pilots will need to think more carefully about their next move, so we're giving them extra time.
junk rift
- Junk Rift has been temporarily removed from arena modes.
- This was done due to an audio issue that occurs when a rift appears well above the player.
