Dying Light 2 factions and their advantages: Peacekeepers, Renegades, Survivors
The city streets of Dying Light 2 are controlled by three warring factions that Aidan can join; Peacekeepers, Renegades and Survivors - but how does your choice affect the game?
The fight for survival in Dying Light 2 doesn't just revolve around the flesh-eating Infected waiting to take a significant bite out of you. The danger is on the streets of the City, and local turf wars are often more dangerous than the undead themselves.
With territory divided between Peacekeepers, Renegades, and Survivors, there are many different reasons to join each faction, but it's important to note that your choice will affect your standing with those around you.
So, here is a brief description of each of the three Dying Light 2 factions:
Despite the blood, guts and destruction, the City still looks beautiful.
Dying Light 2: Factions
As we mentioned earlier, the Dying Light 2 NPC community is divided into three warring factions:
- Peacekeepers: The Peacekeepers present themselves as the City's elite police force, using an iron fist to ensure the safety of the surviving citizens. They are "good" faction
- Renegades: In direct conflict with the Peacekeepers, the Renegades pride themselves on wreaking havoc and destroying anyone who gets in their way. They are "bad» game faction.
- Survivors: With a nomadic, adaptive mentality, Survivors are concerned with keeping their comrades safe and running from the Infected rather than actively engaging in combat. They are "neutral" faction
each a faction can control different areas of the disputed territory, and with Aiden's help, he can expand his dominance by destroying his enemies.
However, choosing a unit comes at a cost, as your relationship with the inhabitants of the City is changing as your influence grows. For example, choosing the Renegades is not something your comrades will be overly impressed with, given their chaotic, brutal management methods. This contrasts with peacekeepers, who are generally well known for putting their lives at risk.
Dying Light 2: Faction Benefits
In addition to changing the perception and reaction to Aiden, your choice of faction has additional benefits. Each group will expand their amenities around their center, changing the look of the City.
The following are the various benefits associated with the three factions of the game:
Fraction | Advantages |
Peacekeepers | Peacekeepers will set up military-style barracks, set up traps, and offer melee and ranged weapons. |
Renegades | The renegades set up deadly traps that will destroy anything that comes near, including humans. They also have an arsenal of firepower just waiting for you to use it. |
Survivors | Survivors install parkour tools (such as air vents) to help you navigate rooftops and avoid getting infected. |
Are the characters affiliated with a faction?
As you travel through the post-apocalyptic world of Dying Light 2, you will encounter a range of friendly and aggressive NPCs. Some of these are faction-specific, while others will react to Aiden's choice of faction.
While we don't have a complete list of them yet, we will continue to update this page as we delve deeper into the fight:
