Dead by Daylight 5.5.1 Ability Fixes and More
Update Description Dead by Daylight 5.5.1 is finally here, bringing with it a host of bug fixes to the multiplayer survival game.
Following the Mid Chapter patch from Dead by Daylight, the developers have released a new update designed to fix a number of in-game issues. The highlights of 5.5.1 are changes to the new wiggle system that allows Survivors to break free from the Killer's grasp.
There are also fixes to the game's tooltip settings menu, as well as adjustments to a number of assassin abilities. While this patch doesn't add any new content or new characters, Dead by Daylight fans should run into fewer problems when queuing for some horror-filled antics.

- We fixed an issue that caused tooltips to linger in the Settings menu.
- Fixed an issue where a cannibal could not break a pallet after hitting a survivor in the same sweep with a chainsaw.
- Fixed an issue where Demogorgon's Shred ability would sometimes not break pallets.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Eruption perk to reload when a pre-made generator was triggered.
- Fixed an issue where stuns caused by power struggle duration were reduced more than intended when the assassin was equipped with the Endurance perk.
- Fixed an issue that caused the SFX blessing to continue after a survivor was hurt after an untested abort attempt.
- Fixed an issue where the glyph and red envelope interaction would not be interrupted by the killer.
- Fixed an issue where using the Deathslinger's Aim Down Sight would play the wrong animation immediately after interacting with the Red Envelope.
- Fixed an issue where the loud noise indicator would not appear when the AI player did not check skills during the tutorial.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Nemesis Tentacle to become invisible while on cooldown after hitting an object.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Expert Killer and Expert Survivor achievements to unlock when the grade threshold was not reached. (Only in Pair)
- Fixed an issue where sometimes an offer would appear out of place on the offer loading screen.
- Fixed an issue resulting in VFX floating ink missing from some The Artist settings.
- Fixed an issue that caused the killer music to not change properly when switching roles from a Survivor in the Modern Tales outfit.
- Fixed an issue where hitting the fireplace in the chalet in the Mount Ormond Resort map played an inconsistent sound effect.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the killer from using the hook when spawning too close to the bush wall near the large house in Badham IV.
- Fixed an issue that resulted in the "Dead Hard" option from the balcony to the shelves in the main RPD hall.
- Fixed an issue resulting in missing hooks in the RPD map library.
- Fixed an issue that caused the killer to get stuck next to a trapdoor in the main Warehouse building.
