Fortnite Cheater Makes it to the FNCS Finals
Over the weekend, the Fortnite pro player claimed to have used cheats in the FNCS to highlight how easy it is to overcome the anti-cheat.
Cheating in Fortnite has been a hot topic lately. It all started with the hype of the professional community. Players like Cented and Calc have been tweeting about placing cheaters in Fortnite tournaments. After that, we had a situation with Bman, where he was fielded by teammates for using "soft aiming" hacks in the Boogie Cup.
We discussed the topic of cheating with a hacker who develops cheats for Fortnite. To our surprise, he told us that the Fortnite anti-cheat is quite formidable and that it is the only cheat he knows that will reliably get through the system.
However, all we hear from the community is how easy it is to get through the Fortnite anti-cheat. Last weekend a player named Kona made it to the FNCS finals due to cheats. He even streamed his cheats to highlight the vulnerability of Fortnite's anti-cheat - at least that's what he claims.
We have no idea how long Kona has been cheating, although he claims to have used these cheats as a way to demonstrate how easy it is to get through the Fortnite anti-cheat. He uploaded his stream and showed his viewers everything he did. Since then, this clip has been viewed thousands of times.
We contacted Kona to see if this was the same cheat developed by our source. These aren't the same cheats, he says - meaning there could be multiple active Fortnite cheats on the market.
On Twitter, Konna said he "started a revolution". He told his followers and everyone who watched: “The anti-cheat in this game is so scary that someone can get into the final. I hope people learn from this.”
nah fr though. the anti cheat in this game is so terrible to the point where someone can get to finals. I hope people learn from this.

However, to be fair to Epic, Kona was probably not the person who designed the cheats he used. He was just a player who knew how to get cheats, not a developer who knew how to bypass anti-cheat.
Coma claimed to have sacrificed his account to achieve more, but he donated more than just that. His organization "Dani" severed ties with Kona as soon as evidence of the deception emerged. We'll never know if Kona used these cheats for the first time over the weekend, or if he chose to lean on allegations of soft-aim cheating to avoid following Bman's path before him.
I hope Epic can sort this out.
Every game has cheaters, but not all games have thousands of dollars worth of online tournaments. If the players cheat in these events, it throws everything into doubt. This is an evolving story and we will update you when we know more.
