Best builds for No Rest for the Wicked
When creating a build in No Rest for the Wicked, it is important to have a clear vision of the desired character from the very beginning. Since the game is in early access, there are no options to change the selection of characteristics yet.
Your character build in No Rest for the Wicked is based on the stats you choose when leveling up, as well as the weapons and equipment you choose to use, and your weight class. Since the game is still in its early stages of development, our approach to playing it continues to evolve, and it is possible that we will make changes to the recommended strategies in the future. Below are some of the best character development strategies we tried in No Rest for the Wicked.
The best character builds in No Rest for the Wicked
Elusive Rogue (Dual Daggers and Agility)
- Key Stats: Agility, Stamina, Health
- Best weight category: light or normal
One interesting build I tried revolves around using dual daggers as my main weapon, with an emphasis on agility. This is important because Agility increases your ability to strike quickly and frequently, as well as improves your maneuverability in combat. Stamina is also key, as it is necessary to maintain an active pace of attacks and effectively evade enemy attacks without significant fatigue. A priority in your playstyle is the ability to quickly approach enemies from behind and stab them in the back, which requires high mobility and accuracy.
In terms of gear, while light armor provides greater speed and improved evasion, I preferred to use a combination of medium and light armor to give myself extra protection. It's also important to choose armor that offers buffs that improve health regeneration and increase damage done, allowing you to remain highly effective in battles and recover faster from damage.
Holy Warrior (one-handed hammer, shield and faith)
- Key Stats: Stamina, Faith, Concentration
- Best weight category: normal or heavy
The Holy Warrior character build requires an emphasis on three key aspects: Faith, Stamina and Concentration. Faith is critical as it directly increases the damage from use One-handed hammer. Stamina is required to maintain mobility and the ability to keep the shield up. Thanks to the variety of runic skills of the One-Handed Hammer, such as Fire Throw, increasing Concentration also becomes an important task.
As I already mentioned, I prefer to play with a medium weight character, but choosing mesh armor and a heavy set turns the character into a real “tank”.
Two-Handed Sword (Two-Handed Sword and Strength)
- Main characteristics: health, strength, endurance
- Best weight category: normal
To work effectively with Two-handed Sword It is necessary to master the parry technique well, since this type of weapon does not provide the ability to block attacks. Investing points in Strength significantly increases the damage of power attacks after a successful parry, turning them into a powerful tool for defeating the enemy.
Again, choosing the Normal weight category is extremely important for this build. The high stamina cost of attacks with a Greatsword makes using a heavy armor class nearly impossible without additional investment in stamina or weight class.
