Skyrim's Granny Will Become an NPC in The Elder Scrolls 6
Shirley Curry, better known as Skyrim's grandmother, is due to appear in The Elder Scrolls 6 as an NPC. But until then, it will be available to play in Skyrim through a mod.
Shirley will be available as a Skyrim NPC as part of the Shirley mod, which received a teaser trailer this week and is due out on the Nexus in early 2020, according to the post. Reddit from one of its creators.
So what can you expect from Shirley in the game? Unique commentary on locations and situations and unique player interactions. Initial updates will expand the commentary. Shirley's fighting style in the game mirrors her fighting style during Let's Play: a classic two-handed barbarian, light armor and long-range archery.
The creators of the mod said that Curry gave them her blessing and was involved in the development to give the character a voice. Next will be added a quest revolving around Shirley herself. "It's a pleasure to work with her!" modders said.
Back on April 1, 2019 (this was not a joke), we reported that Bethesda Confirms Curry Will Appear In The Elder Scrolls 6 as an NPC with a welcome video, below:

The news comes after nearly 50 people signed a petition to get her involved in the upcoming fantasy RPG.
In case you're wondering why this is all happening, Curry is 83 years old, with a cult following in the Skyrim community and 775 YouTube subscribers. She is particularly well known for her wholesome plays and refers to her grandchildren as spectators.
The petition was prompted by a comment Curry made in response to a quote from Bethesda's Pete Hines who said The Elder Scrolls 6 would not be released for a number of years. Curry lamented that she would likely be 88 by the time the game was released, and predicted that "she probably won't be able to play it". Fans then started a petition to "perpetuate" her in the game, a task Bethesda was apparently happy to complete.
Now it remains only to find out if Skyrim's grandmother will read books in fashion.
“It would be next to impossible for the real Shirley to read ALL the books available, but we really want this to be a feature,” the modders said. "We'll probably have a certain selection of books for her."
Shirley will be available as a mod for both Skyrim classic and Skyrim Special Edition. “Unfortunately, it will not be possible to release mods on PS4 (Sony is to blame, not us!),” they said.
