Fortnite Season 5: Crew Monthly Subscription, Battle Pass Skins and Season Theme
Season 5 of Fortnite is fast approaching and we've got the first leaks revealing Battle Pass skins, the season's theme, and a new monthly subscription method.
Starting with Chapter 5 Season 2, Fortnite will have a new subscription service called Fortnite Crew that aims to provide many different features that players love in one beautiful little package. Here's everything you need to know.
The Marvel-themed season has been running for several months now and will be replaced with Season 5 in December. While we don't know the full extent of the new season, we do know that it's about to introduce a brand new subscription service called Fortnite Crew.
A first for Fortnite, this paid subscription-based model aims to introduce a whole new way to earn a battle pass each season while earning some free goodies to dive into. But how does it work, how much does it cost and what does it include?
Fortnite Crew content
The most attractive element of this new subscription service is the Battle Pass. Each month you will receive a premium version of the battle pass at no additional cost, as long as you subscribe to Fortnite Crew.
However, in addition to this, you will also receive a number of different items in addition to the premium battle pass. You'll also receive 1000 v-bucks and an exclusive Fortnite Crew Pack, which itself includes a skin and a "matching accessory."
Fortnite Crew cost
According to Epic, the Fortnite Crew subscription service will cost players $11,99 per month. This price makes the service objectively worthwhile, as a regular Battle Pass costs 950 V-Bucks, which costs about $8.
So for a few extra dollars off the regular price of the Battle Pass, you get 1000 extra V-Bucks, an exclusive skin pack, and the Battle Pass itself.
How to subscribe to Fortnite Crew
Signing up for Fortnite Crew is apparently quick and easy. All you have to do is click on the icons found in the Fortnite Item Shop or on the Battle Pass screen, which means players won't have to click a bunch of links to access the service.
In addition, Epic Games has also confirmed that fans will be able to cancel their subscription at any time. Presumably, fans will be able to keep all the items they've unlocked through the service up to this point, given that they've already paid for that month.
Fortnite Season 15 Battle Pass Theme and Skins
According to the latest leaks, we're getting the Mandalorian skin and Star Wars Baby Yoda back bling as part of the Battle Pass cosmetic items.
Finally, after two Fortnite X Star Wars crossovers, we get something worthwhile from the Star Wars universe. More importantly, we're getting a Baby Yoda Back Bling - what might be the most requested cosmetic item to date.
We don't know for sure, but most fans who saw these leaks immediately assumed that The Mandalorian would be a season 5 "secret" battle pass skin similar to Deadpool, Aquaman, and Wolverine.
The next Battle Pass probably won't include the entire Star Wars theme, but it will feature some new skins with this fan-favorite combo that will pop up when you complete certain tasks.
