💩10th place - Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn
I still don’t understand what it is, either a sequel or a reboot of the 1994 fighting game with basketball player Shaquille O’Neal in the title role.
Funds for the sequel were collected using a crowdfunding campaign - players donated more than 470 thousand dollars, but it seems that they spent less than half on the game)) . According to critics, A Legend Reborn could not even surpass the original, which is considered one of the worst games in history.

Gamers were looking forward to enjoying Sea of Thieves, but immediately after the release, slippers flew into it. The novelty, the developer of which is Microsoft, immediately dropped the rating. Such low ratings were not expected even by the reviewers themselves, who were also not enthusiastic about the game.
The main drawback of Sea of Thieves is the catastrophic lack of content. According to most gamers, the gameplay exhausts itself after a few hours of passage. Industry veterans make big mistakes. Even if they get together and make a dream game. Beautiful at the development stage, the story of Underworld Ascendant turned into a failure of the game and a wave of dissatisfied reviews.
Nothing foretold catastrophe. However, the project, released on November 15, turned out to be a complete disappointment for the players. The project immediately began to be criticized for constant lags, for problems with control and movement, for errors when saving the game, bad physics, a small amount of content, weak AI, unsuccessful UI and a huge number of bugs.
💩6th place —Overkill's The Walking Dead
It is not clear why, after so many years of waiting, Overkill Software slipped a game that barely lives up to the Steam version of Early Access. In its current form, Overkill's The Walking Dead is almost not a playable project. There are a number of interesting mechanics, realistic shooting and atmospheric locations, but it kills with a crooked ill-conceived menu, an unnecessary hub, boring gameplay and weak graphics. If you want a good zombie co-op, it’s better to play the time-tested Left4Dead, the fresh Strange Brigade or the Black Ops 4 zombie mode. And it’s better to leave Overkill’s The Walking Dead for later and come back here in a couple of months - suddenly the creators will put things in order. There have already been such cases, however, like others - when the expected game disappointed forever.
💩5th place - Fear Effect Sedna
As with many Kickstarter projects, the ambition failed to translate into a full game. This is an extremely bad bad budget game, wherever you look and whatever element you cling to. So bad that it seems like trolling or a bad joke. The game consists of awkward shootouts, boring and drawn-out dialogues, and strange puzzles, the logic of which a healthy person cannot understand.
💩4th place - Past Cure
Most publications appreciated Past Cure and were extremely dissatisfied with it. According to them, all the promises of the developers turned out to be mere chatter and in fact Past Cure is a very stupid action movie with mediocre gameplay. Many reviewers point out that the failure of the game is due to the high expectations that were placed on it thanks to the exciting trailers. Most of all, the staff of DualShockers did not like the game. They called Past Cure banal and completely devoid of any interesting elements.

The long-suffering horror Agony finally went on sale, and critics, as usual, hurried to give him their verdict. Judging by the assessments of the press, the story of the wanderings of an innocent soul has become a real test for anyone who dares such an adventure. All unpleasant impressions, of course, can be attributed to the fact that the developers tried to make the game about suffering as realistic as possible, but with the number of bugs and unjustified cruelty, it seems that they overdid it.

Action from Square Enix was announced at E3 2018 - shortly before the release. The main feature of the game is the almost complete absence of sound, since the main character is deaf and mute.
Critics smashed the game, calling it "catastrophically bad" and "pretentious". Reviewers wondered how it could not have been canceled long before release.

Even before the full release of the game, everyone said: “Adding online to Fallout is a brilliant idea. Walking through the radioactive American wastelands and plundering roadside eateries to the sound of jazz will be much more fun with friends. So, we were wrong. Sorry. Post-apocalyptic role-playing game Fallout 76, released by Bethesda on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, turned out to be a real failure - the first in the history of the series. Her average score on Metacritic is around 50 out of 100 (all the previous ones are from 85 to 90). YouTube is bursting with videos with bugs, the reality of which is hard to believe. Bloggers are loudly critical of the Bethesda studio and producer Todd Howard, who developed and promoted the game. Just a week after its release, Fallout 76 is already on sale.
Fallout 76 is not just a failure, not just the worst game of the year. This is a real phenomenon that will live in the memory of gamers as long as the industry itself is alive.
