Dragon Age The Veilguard is not playable on Xbox One.
BioWare has decided to skip the last-generation consoles like the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 for DA The Veilguard. It is likely due to the dated hardware of the older consoles, which might create performance issues.
The Veilguard runs on the Frostbite engine, which has caused problems with Mass Effect Andromeda on the older consoles. This is likely the main reason why the upcoming fourth Dragon Age will skip the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

BioWare is bringing the fourth Dragon Age game to the following platforms:

- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X/ S
DA The Veilguard preload has been live for the Xbox Series X/S since October 14, with the PlayStation 5 set to receive the option on the 29 of this month. PC users, unfortunately, won’t be able to download the game files ahead of its release on October 31.
