Iron Man in Fortnite? Epic Games CEO Hints At It!
Creative director Fortnite Donald Mustard has seemingly hinted at another crossover between the popular Battle Royale title and Marvel's wildly successful Avengers movie franchise.
As creative director of Fortnite at Epic Games, Mustard has been known to use his Twitter profile through direct tweets, not just to describe his personal location or bio - but directly to tease fans about upcoming additions and changes to the game.
In the past, Mustard has hinted at changes with the iceberg hitting Battle Royal Island in Season 7 and the ongoing Dragon Egg conspiracies.
However, it doesn't look like he's going to end this business. Again teasing fans, on April 13 the director tweeted to Robert Downey Jr. “Looking good @RobertDowneyJr. See you soon! #teamdowney.
Attentive fans would have noticed that the actor is wearing a Fortnite t-shirt and his iconic character's necklace. All of this means little, but given Mustard's reputation for teasing content before it's released, it's easy to assume a Fortnite-Marvel crossover is just around the corner.

Of course, this isn't the first time that two iconic pop culture brands have crossed paths and collaborated. Following the hugely successful release of Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos Infinity Gauntlet LTM has entered Fortnite. Rumor has it that this limited time mode will have a comeback soon, which makes sense considering Avengers: Endgame is set to release on April 26th and pre-sale tickets will sell out instantly.
It would be interesting to know what plans Epic has for a second collaboration with Marvel, especially since Mustard's tweet is focused on Robert Downey Jr.
Could we see an Iron Man-based LTM or maybe even a series of skins in the game in the near future? This remains to be seen.
