You and Paimon saw a familiar face on the Bead Ferry...
bubbly ferry is a ship that is in the sea east of Li Yue Harbor. To get there, you can climb on the highest mast of the docked sea vessel and use Venti to fly to the ferry, swim to it with Monoi, or freeze your way with Kaya's Cryo skills. You can also climb the mountain southeast of the ship and glide down from there.
Meet Zhong Li at the table
Zhong Li will be discussing Rex Lapis with several archaeologists around the table. During this cutscene, Wan Yan, for some unknown reason, will want to speak to the Geo-Archon alone.
Talk to Wan Yan at the stern of the ferry
Approach Zhong Li and Wan Yan, who are located to the north of you, to continue the story. She seems to want to prove that Morax is an evil god. Then a fatui named Clement will appear - another archaeologist from Snezhnaya.
After talking with all these guys, the quest will end and a new mission will immediately begin.

After a chance meeting with Zhong Li, you learned that Fatui named Clement is organizing an archaeological expedition. Zhong Li joined the expedition as a consultant. Wan Yan also went with them. And although Fatui does not inspire confidence in you, you decided to join Zhong Li. The purpose of the expedition is to find Osial, the Archon of Whirlwinds.
Head to Guyun Stone Forest
Teleport to the fast travel point and approach the beach to start a new conversation. Looks like we'll have to split into 2 groups: we'll go with Zhong Li.
Use your elemental sense to get a good look at the area. Head southeast to the next island and here you'll find some Hilichurls next to a sealed chest.
You will need to kill these enemies to unlock the chest. Do this and you will receive a battered effigy. Now we need to head to the southeast side of the island, where you will find another sealed chest with enemies nearby. This time you will need to look not for a chest, but for Cryo slimes hidden behind a stone in the water. There will be a box in which the Damp Sack lies.
It's time to head to the west side of the next island to the south. Upon arrival there, you will be attacked by several mimics - these are water monsters. You can beat them with any element. Cryo attacks work well. After killing them, you will receive a Mysterious Stone Tablet.
Talk to the members of the expedition
As soon as you collect the necessary items, you will need to find your temporary partners. They went a little further and to the west. Watch a short cut-scene, after which the mission will end.

Teleport to the nearest fast travel point and travel to the small island to the north of it.
Upon arrival at this location, you will see a large hole in the ground, closed by a barrier. Watch the cutscene again. Apparently, Wan Yan does not know how to remove this seal, but Zhong Li guesses how to do it.
How to remove the barrier in the Saltlands and solve the puzzle
First you need to get to first mechanism. Head to the island directly southwest of you and you'll find a pedestal next to the road covered in what looks like salt.
If you look at the stones to the west, you will see yellow symbols painted on them. Stand in front of them in such a way as to make a single figure out of them. The screenshot above shows how to rotate the camera.
Now go to second mechanism. To do this, head to the east side of the island and you'll find yourself in a small arena with a few enemies. After defeating them, a new conversation will begin. Zhong Li will tell you the legend of the war of the archons. He will also say an important phrase: south, east, west, north. It is in this order that you will need to activate the totems that you will find a little later.
After the conversation ends, kill the enemies, open the chest, and start solving the puzzle. Around this area you will find 4 electro monuments, one in each direction.
As Zhong Li said earlier, you need to interact with them in a certain sequence: south, east, west, north. Some of them are behind the walls, but finding them is easy.

After solving the previous puzzle, go back to where the barrier was to watch a new cut-scene. After that, the task will end and a new quest will immediately start.

After the seal disappears, jump down into the cave and you will immediately find yourself in a small cave.
Here you will find a lot of Lapis Kor, which is a very useful resource, especially if you have Ke Ching. You will also encounter various slimes near the water. Explore the location and when you're ready, start moving deeper into the cave to find an opening. Pass through it and enter the Salt Secrets dungeon.
Look for divine relics
Here you can play as Zhong Li. Head inside, up the stairs, and you'll find some hilichurls. Deal with them and then use the character's Geo elemental skill to get to the top level. You can also use Venti by simply jumping to the desired ledge.
Do this twice and you will enter the room with the first treasure. Exit the room. You will see more hilichurls dancing around the fire. Go through them and you will find 2 platforms right outside the door. Place the Zhong Li Pillar on one of the platforms and stand on the other to open the door.
Inside you will find the second treasure. Next, you will have to fight Clement. He fights just like any other agent of Fatui - we are talking about an enemy who uses daggers and becomes invisible. Having dealt with him, we continue to explore the dungeon.
Jump over to another platform and you will see another circular area on the ground. If you step on it, you will notice that a chest has appeared on the other side. When the platforms intersect, place your column on the second of them and open the chest. Walk forward and you will see 3 Geo Monuments. Place one column in the center to activate all 3 totems.
Then use the console to open the door. Move on and deal with new enemies. As a result, you will find the third relic. Wan Yan will also terminate the contract with you. Talk to her, and then go in pursuit.
Catch up with Wan Yan
Follow the newly opened path all the way to the top of the stairs to find Wan Yan. Approach her to talk to the girl again. This will complete the task.

In the ruins, Clement and Wan Yan violated the terms of the contract for the sake of personal enrichment. As punishment, Clement was stripped of his reward and driven out of the ruins.
