Warzone To Get New Red Door Fast Travel System In Season XNUMX

With Warzone Season 3 now in full swing and Verdansk '84 in the spotlight, a new fast travel system is reportedly on the way, using "Red Doors" scattered across the map.
Only one week separates us from the biggest Warzone update , and new information may already hint at what will happen next. A brand new survey was reportedly sent out on April 28. This Warzone survey asked players about the various changes coming to Season XNUMX.
From several brand new POIs to updated lighting – The survey wanted to find out what players “like the most”. However, of the five options available to players to choose from, one has yet to enter the game.
"Red Doors" is highlighted as a "fast travel system" in the third season. Although they were not available this week, this may indicate that they are already on their way.
It is not known exactly how this claimed feature could work in Warzone. Although the Red Door was visible in the hospital POI in the latest trailer for Verdansk '84. If it functions in the same style as previous fast travel systems, players can jump from area to area simply by interacting with these doors.
Red doors have been a major theme in Call of Duty for the past year. For the first time leaked to Xbox Live Store in July 2020, Red Door was used as the codename for an internal alpha test at Activision.
They also feature prominently in the Black Ops Cold War storyline.
Back in Season 6, players were introduced to the first version of Fast Travel. Thanks to new metro system , teams could move quickly around the map in a loop of seven stops. Since this underground network is now a thing of the future, there is currently no way to fast travel.
Considering this new survey was supposedly sent out to a number of Warzone players, there's a chance Red Doors was meant to launch in Season 3. There's a chance this feature was canceled behind the scenes, though, so take the information with a grain of salt for now.
We'll just have to wait and see if the new fast travel system hits Warzone soon. Developers, of course, love to prompt in the game. So don't forget to keep an eye out for more and more red doors with each update.
