All Hotspots and Nests in Days Gone. How to Get the Infected Hunter Achievement

Your goal in each infected zone is to burn the nests there. Clearing all Infested locations unlocks the Infested Hunter trophy. There are also gameplay benefits as new fast travel routes are unlocked. To burn the nests, you can either throw a fuel canister and shoot it, or throw a molotov cocktail. The best choice is to use incendiary crossbow bolts. You get 3 of them for one Kerosene instead of 1 Molotov. You will unlock incendiary bolts by conquering 8 ambush camps. It's much easier to burn nests during the day when there are fewer Freakers around. The guide below contains two screenshots of the infected location. The first one is zoomed out to show you the general location. The second one is zoomed in, showing you exactly where the nests are (red dots). When you get close to the nest, your character will smell it and it will automatically be marked on the map. You can also spot them from afar because there is a black infested mass around them. As soon as you burn the nest, the freakers will run out, but it is not necessary to kill them, just burning the nests is enough. After completing the story, free exploration of the map is available, so you can return to all regions and complete any side objectives and collect any collectibles you missed. It is worth noting that there are two temporary points of no return. One at the end of Region 3 "Lost Lake" and one at the end of Region 5 "Crater Lake". This will lock you out of some regions until the end of the story. Then after the story ends, the whole map is revealed again.
