The authors of the videos insist that shaving the face with a machine evens out skin tone and makes it flawless, they also appeal to the fact that Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe and Cleopatra also shaved their faces.

Cosmedics employee Dr. Ross Perry said that such videos create only the illusion of perfection and the absence of flaws. She explained, “Having fine facial hair is completely normal. I do not recommend shaving at home. Facial hair can grow back, and what might be considered moderate can become much thicker. Shaving your face can cause breakouts or skin reactions."
