Timur Bekmambetov With the Help of War Thunder Recreated Air Combat from the Film “Devyatayev”
Timur Bekmambetov recreated the feat of the pilot Devyatayev in the cinema with the help of War Thunder.
For the filming of air battles in the military action "Devyatayev", for the first time in Russia, video game technologies were used, with the help of which the latest blockbusters of Marvel and Star Wars were filmed. This was reported in the press service of Gaijin Entertainment. Watch exclusive footage from the film "Devyatayev".
Recall that on April 29, the premiere of the military film "Devyatayev" by Timur Bekmambetov will take place in cinemas. The picture has one unusual feature: all the scenes of air battles used the War Thunder online action. On the eve of the release, the game developers showed a battle scene from the picture, in which the main character fights with German pilots. The War Thunder engine made it possible to save flight data and transfer the battle pattern to the screen.
Air battles in the new adventure film "Devyatayev" will be the most realistic in the history of cinema about the Second World War. Timur Bekmambetov was the first Russian director to recreate them in virtual reality using video game development technologies and online simulation software solutions. Until now, the game engine in the movie has only been used in Hollywood - in the latest blockbusters about the superheroes of the Marvel universe, the new Star Wars and the Mandalorian series.
