May usually means a brand new Battle Pass for The International in Dota 2. However, the normal cycle of the annual Battle Pass was thrown off when TI10 was canceled in 2020.

Dota 2 TI11 Battle Pass 2022: Release date
While the Dota 2 TI Battle Pass has always been released in May, Valve has now confirmed that the pass will be released later this year. 1 September 2022 of the year. As Valve explains, this year's Battle Pass will be released with the goal of keeping the hype and excitement going even after The International ends.
As has been evident over the years, the release of the Battle Pass brings a resurgence of returning players to the game. To that end, the redesigned timeline aims to bring players back to Dota 2 and keep them as long as possible.
Additionally, Valve has confirmed that Update 7.32 will be released prior to the TI11 regional qualifiers on September 3rd. This indicates that the release of the Battle Pass is running almost in parallel with the upcoming major update.
New Battle Pass - Exclusive Arcana
After repeated community outcries about the Faceless Void Arcana, recent leaks have finally suggested that the same could be coming to the game as part of the TI11 BATTLE PASS. Further leaks have also suggested that the Heavenly Wrath Mage Arcana is in development.
However, Valve has previously abandoned their current projects and replaced them entirely, so it wouldn't be surprising if something like this happens again. Having said that, we'll update this section when more information becomes available, so be sure to check back soon.
The TI11 Battle Pass will remain active even after the event ends.
Dota 2 Battle Pass minigame
Although there has been no official confirmation from Valve, given that the Battle Pass may run longer than usual this year, there is a chance of getting two custom minigames instead of one. There could even be similar events like the first Aghanim's Labyrinth which was free for everyone but had special rewards for those who bought the Battle Pass.
Given the longer time frame for the Battle Pass, Valve could even split the duration between multiple mini-games such as Wrath of the Mo'rokai, Aghanim's Labyrinth 3, Greevilings or Diretide. On top of that, The International 11 short film competition is now open for submissions, which only leads us to believe that the Battle Pass, along with all its virtual goodies, is right around the corner.
