If you want to know how to complete the Cursed Voyager story in Sea of Thieves, then you've landed on the right shore.
This walkthrough of the Cursed Traveler's story will guide you through all the quests in this mission, from finding the diaries to finding the individuals who swore allegiance to the Skeleton Lady.
So, the previous story ended with the Curtain Breaker being incomplete and missing a few gems. It may help us in our further search. Madame Olivia of the Outpost Robbers who may know where to find Captain Briggsy, who is rumored to have made it to the Gold Coast.
Sea of Thieves - Cursed Voyager Guide
In this mission, players are hunting the legendary Captain Briggsy, the Skeleton Master, who may know about the Veil Breaker. So, what needs to be done:
- Visit Madame Olivia at the Outpost
- Vote for Cursed Traveler
- Get a diary
- Read the diary and discover the islands depicted in it
- Travel to islands and track skeletons
- Defeat the skeletons and take or dig up the chest or key
- Take the contents of Madame Olivia's chest to the Plunder Outpost.
- Use the enchanted compass to track down Briggsy
- Defeat Briggsy
- Take her skull to Madame Olivia at the Outpost
There are not many steps in this journey compared to the previous mission. The tricky part is figuring out which islands are featured in the magazine. You will only have island silhouettes, and the two islands are completely random.
Travel to the islands and use the diary to find out where the skeletons have gone. For example, the first clue says that the island you are looking for is the Nest of Serpents. On the next page, the clue says that the camp is on top of the middle island. We go there and find skeletons led by Captain Avery. We bring down everyone and raise the key!
After that, a new clue will open in the diary, which will tell you where to find the place in which the chest is buried in order to open it with a key. From the picture in the diary, it becomes clear that this is the Curving Hollow.
We head to the island and, together with the key, descend into the cave, where skeletons and Captain Blake are again waiting for us. We deal with them and dig out the chest. Inside the chest Briggsy's sky map and her spyglass.
Take these two artifacts back to Madam Olivia at the Outpost to have her craft an Enchanted Compass. You can find the compass in the same place where you find maps and rewards. This enchanted compass will point to Briggsy..
Equip a compass and see where the arrow is pointing. Set sail and follow the compass to the island to find Briggsy's location.
How to beat Briggsy
Now all that's left is to defeat Briggsy. This is no ordinary boss fight. Briggsy is extremely durable and has the ability to teleport, can deal shockwave damage that knocks you back, and can summon skeletons to fight on her behalf. It will take you and your team a long time to defeat her, so bring plenty of supplies.
Before the battle, it is worth stocking up on powder kegs. You can put them on the ground next to her and then shoot them for much more damage than swords and guns.
Players who have a team can assign some players to clear the skeletons and clear the battlefield. This is useful as there can be a lot of skeletons in a fight. Use any rocks and terrain to your advantage to group the skeletons into easy-to-manage clusters.
Watch out for a hit from Briggsy as he can easily take out half of your XP. She telegraphs the movement for a long time before activating it. Briggsy will put his hands behind his back and slowly raise them above his head. When she starts this move, turn around and run away so you don't take too much damage.
It took my team roughly 20 minutes of continuous fighting to kill Briggsy, so expect the fight to take some time. It's also worth keeping an eye out for other players who may try to come and harass you during this boss fight.
Once Briggsy is defeated, collect her unique skull and travel back to the Outpost. Deliver Briggsy's skull to Madame Olivia and listen to her story. She gives us 4 names (Tasha, Saddzom, Rosa and Salty) that will be connected to the next four Tall Tales stories. . Four more journeys will be unlocked at this stage: Legendary Storyteller, Rogue Stars, Wild Rose, and Trap Art. You can complete them in any order.
Diaries Cursed Traveler
1 diary - Shark Korm Bay: Look for a tunnel on the south side of the island. Go through the tunnel, turn right and look at the broken rowboat to find the first Bounty Hunter diary.
2 diary - Discovery Ridge Island: Head to the northeast side of the island, go past the waterfall and look at the wrecked rowboat to find this journal.
Diary 3 - Kraken's End Island: found on the south side of the island, just behind the tunnel near the fence. Look for a pile of bones lying near the fence, a diary is hidden behind them.
4th diary - island Shelter of the wanderer: find a well in the middle part of the island (near the south) and go up the hill to the ruins of the house. The magazine hides between rocks and wood.
Diary 5 - Curving Hollow Island: the last journal is inside the island's cave system. Start with Wild Henry on the pier, turn around and enter the cave opposite him. Take the first one on the left and follow it. You will meet a skeleton tied with a rope near the fire, and the last diary "Headhunter" is next to the bones.
