Filming for Selected 'The Walking Dead' Starring Rick Grimes Films Should Begin Soon

After three years of waiting, The Walking Dead star Andrew Lincoln reveals that his Rick Grimes movie could go into production very soon.
Andrew Lincoln says Rick Grimes movie will start filming soon "The walking Dead ". The future of the Lincoln character, who has been with the franchise since the beginning, has remained in limbo ever since a helicopter (and Jadis) picked him up in Season 9 of AMC's flagship series. After Lincoln left it was announced that the walker killer (former) deputy would return in a trilogy with feature films explaining his absence from recent seasons "Walking Dead ».
thanks The Walking Dead: World Beyond we know that the helicopter that took Rick away belongs to the Civil Republic Military or CRM, a dangerous organization that monitors the new society that has arisen since the zombie apocalypse. Where CRM took Rick has been a mystery since November 2018; however, it looks like filming for the first film will finally begin this spring.
In a recent interview with the magazine SFX Magazine (across GamesRadar ) Lincoln spoke about the production of upcoming films "The walking Dead". While the actor is still in isolation, it looks like filming should start soon:
“We are very excited about how we will start production at the earliest opportunity - they say that this will happen in the spring. I can't wait to get these cowboy boots."
Lincoln further clarified that he is signed on to more than one film and the proposed trilogy is still in the planning stages, but they just need to get the first "absolutely correct" one, which is one of the reasons it took longer than intended ( at the height of the pandemic). The film(s) is intended to expand the scale and scope of both Rick's story and the entire universe. "Walking Dead which already has a few spin-offs, and more to come in the future.
AMC already ordered spin-off series focusing on Daryl and Carol as well as an anthology entitled Tales of the Walking Dead .
In regards to returning for the series finale, Lincoln said, "Never say never." So far, the series has had a cinematic reunion. Rika and Michonne when Danai Gurira's character left the series to find Rick (and presumably meet in the films). Universe Walking Dead goes far beyond Robert Kirkman's source material and Walking Dead. films will diverge from this even further. Hopefully, if filming starts in the spring, we'll see Rick and his cowboy boots again before 2023.
